An apparent case of strap failure ends in disaster for overly rambunctious 2ch Wii user, although the effect is at least interesting to look at.
Of course, whether the fault lies with the user or with Nintendo’s made in China strap is an open question, perhaps best settled by a class action lawsuit, some might say…

Seems that he needs a bullet proof glass for his TV
If i was that guy all i could say while staring at that tv is.......
FUCK!!!!!!
Nintendo owned Sony
Wow. I guess the sleeve for the 'mote wasn't as much of a TV saver as Nintendo had hoped for.
It's very subtle advertising hint by Sony that you won't get cracked screens if you get a PS3 to combo with that HDTV instead of a Nintendo Wii.
Just a way of Nintendo getting revenge on Sony ;)
I'm more amused at the fact that that TV is still half working. Perhaps Sony doesn't want to loose to Nintendo that easily...
Which game did they play?
i dont know but the japanese text on the tv translates to "wtf you failed on easy?"
obviously the users fault, what a fail
You need a great talent to make something so stupit as throwing your Wii Remote at your TV. Epic Fail.
Actually, that's one of the old model straps. Nintendo already released a better, stronger version of the strap about 4-5 years ago because stuff like this kept happening. I would know. I have a wii and got the newer straps.
if that's a flat HDTV , that , definitely , gotta hurt your ass alot!
This is so fucking funny. xD
FAIL BLOG FTW
Its's Nintendo's Conspiracy. Damn Nintendo Sure is Scary.
Classic
wiimote dangerous
beware guys D:
The force is strong in that one
hahaha
fckin wiimote!!!!!
fckin rtards!!!!!!
wiimote fail is specific to wiitards.
It wasn't worth looking at,until I saw the Sony.
Epic compatibility issue.
soon, television will have bullet proof layer added on! :)
forgot to add this
from picture: nintendo > sony
Funny that with all that TV screen, it hit so close to the edge...
HA HA!
FAIL!
hmm..the strap looks like the 1st gen Wiimote strap. No wonder it broke.
This shows that gamers are strong enough to throw a controller hard enough to destroy a tv.
=P
Even with a strap on, I never swing the Wiimote around like crazy.
There's only one game that I can think of that you can be playing and have this happen and be understandable. And that game is MadWorld, because shoving street signs through peoples skulls has never been so entertaining. (Yes it's on the Wii and is Rated M)
That's one of the reason I sold my Wii.
Besides the quality of the games.
the television is now art. just leave it like that forever.
Just wait till Monster hunter 3 comes out, 2ch will be full of Wiimote fail.
It's part of a marketing campaign for Nintendo new line of WiiMote shock proof LCD displays... "Sony got nuthin on us yo"
The Wiimote obviously wanted to go after the Sony screen. The winner is clear.
um, i never use the strap that comes with the wiimote cause it cuts off circulation for me but never once has the wii mote slipped out of my hand, let alone got thrown across the room. i think the problem is not the strap but the idiot user for not realising that your not supposed to be swinging your arms around full force with playing a wii game. it does not take much for the wiimote to register your movement.
.... You can't fit your wrist into the wiimote's adjustable wrist strap? Goddamn.
If he can't fit his arm through the adjustable strap, his version of full force is probably a lot less than our full force, let alone "normal" force...
I'd be willing to take that TV off your hands!
Check out his site...........

this site rox
i was looking if someone already posted it.
This looks like it was photoshopped to me.
See, you never have these problems with a 360. xD
no you get a WHOLE new set of problems.. Like the Red Ring of Death try say that at a gay bar and mean games...
Wow at the tv ofc .. >_>
and who say wii is for kid
Someone was way too into the game...
Who are these people that can throw a wiimote with enough force to damage a TV screen from across the room?
You'd be amazed at the damage one can do with a relatively light projectile launched at high speed.
I'd be willing to bet the wiimote itself is still working just fine.
This happened to me too.
I was playing Wario and my hands were sweaty, and slipped out of my fingers. The band snapped, and it flew a few inches past my widescreen and into the wall and broke.
I had a small stroke during the slow-motion watching of it flying through the air.
Plexiglass shielding is significantly cheaper than a new 1080p 40+ inch LCD screen.
But my Wii's been gathering dust for a very long time, so it's pretty harmless.
