Readers in the vicinity of Akihabara would likely be interested in noting that over the next month the CURE maid café will be in its new Evangelion mode, to go along with the new release of the Evangelion : 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance movie.
This was the same café that recently held its Fate/stay Night event, and so this means a new menu of Eva-influenced dishes and drinks, along with the appropriate decorations to the interior.
This particular café, one of the earliest and best known progenitors of the maid café concept, constantly remodels itself to fit a specific series (several past events are covered in the maid café tag), so the particulars of this newest Eva event should be not be surprising.
Menu:
From left to right, top to bottom…

- Misato-san’s Special Pen-Pen Meal
- Angel Parfait
- Angel Cake
- Nerv Cake
Drinks:

- Shinji Ikari (Blue Hawaii + Blueberry Soda)
- Rei Ayanami (Blue Hawaii + Grapefruit)
- Asuka Langley Shikinami (Grenadine + Orange)
- Mari Illustrious Makinami (Melon Syrup + Orange)
- Kaworu Nagisa (Grapefruit + Ginger + Blue Hawaii + Cherry)
At the bottom is “Ritsuko’s Coffee”, costing ¥1,700 but at least coming along with that attractive nerv mug!
The coasters above come along with the drinks.
This latest Eva Café is still rather new and so detailed photos of the interior have still to emerge, but it should be quite similar to last year’s Eva event at the same café:
This was likely the scariest dish in the menu for some customers.
The current Eva Café event will run until July 26th, making this particular event longer than most for the café.

Just a couple different Master Chef strokes in the making of it, and you'd have a stunning culinary replica of Back Beard (Beako fame).
It's squid ink-dyed pasta with a cherry tomato and little Sachiel head made out of cheese. Definitely edible, though strange looking, to be sure.
LOL'd at the ideas of what eating it might do. It's a good thing they didn't offer any Zeruel-themed dishes or else diners might REALLY go beserk, eh?
