To be honest, I found K-ON! to be pretty boring except for a few episodes that were surprisingly VERY entertaining. I do hope this has a second season though, just to see if it can pick itself back up (in my eyes).
My main problem with it is that it's too unrealistic. I play guitar. You need tons and tons of practice to get up to the skill level of the performances in the show.
EP 12 SPOILER: Oh, and when Ui picks up the guitar and plays it perfectly? Total BS. "Yui showed me once." Yeah, okay.
ONCE? Dunno if it has something to blame on the subs or what but Ui said "Onee-chan let me hold it sometimes." Plus, that particular scene was just there to show how Ui is too perfect compared to her sis. Mugi started her piano lesson since 4, Azusa started since Grade school (iirc), I'm not sure about Mio and Ritsu but you can guess Ritsu's capability judging on Azusa's view on her drum skill in episode 9. As a conclussion, none of them are actually that perfect.
If you still insist, you should be putting your attention more on ppl like Ozora Tsubasa or Echizen Ryoma.
