Tales of Vesperia PS3 Release Date Announced

With the generously long beta testing period on the Xbox 360 finally over, Tales of Vesperia is finally nearing release on the PS3, and has been firmly dated.
The game is dated for a September 19th release, at ¥7,800 in Japan.
An international release date is not given, but given that the original dates were close together a long wait seems unlikely, and at any rate the game is hardly likely to be delayed further.
Additionally, it seems pirate loli Patty has been fully added to the intros and in game movies, so she appears to be.

What the hell? Tales of Graces was on the same Damn page and you say nothing about it? Why report on a Old game? That's a port with extras? Fanboys piss me off! especially Fanboys of a dieing system Sony sucks ass its time to move on.... Wii and 360 are pissing all over that piece of trash..
Pretty much - Yeah. XP
lol
If there's an occidental version planified, gonna get a PS3 asap!
So they're finally making May a stereotype..
Does the console war begin anew?
Did it ever stop? XD

As a person who owns a PS3 I would love to see an english version of this, but until a proper release date is announced I'm not keeping my hopes up. Remember how Tales of Symphonia came out on PS2 in Japan but never made it to the US?
I do understand why they made Tales of Vesperia for PS3 in Japan: no one buys xbox 360 in Japan, so the xbox edition didn't sell very well.
have they said anything about a non jp release though :p
I don't see why people are getting their hopes up for the PS3 version of Vesperia when not a single word about an international release has been mentioned, at least not yet anyway. It's fine if you want to play the game in Japanese since it's not region locked but until I see reliable information about it being released out of Japan I'll happily stick to 'beta testing' my 360 version which I've had for nearly a year.
PS3 users who don't own a 360 really should stop coming out with the same old 'LULZ BETA TEST RROD FUKKEN FAIL 360 SUXX XDDDD' until the fucking game is actually confirmed to be released outside of Japan. If it is, great, I'll pick up a PS3 copy and see what's new but until that happens you're stuck with either a 360 version (which is already great, in my opinion) or you're stuck slagging off the 360 version while not having a copy to play yourself..
I snagged the 360 version a long time ago for $17.
I'll gladly get this on my PS3 once it's out.
I will double buy on the following conditions
1) Full voice including all speech bubbles of minor characters
2) Full Japanese Dub track
no body gonna buy a game that has released for more then a year and only added like 5% extra things inside. its not of beta test of 360, how about begging for food for ps3?
Namco will release this for the PS3, wait a few months, then release it as DLC for the 360 version.
It's Namco. They made iDOLM@STER and the sequel with massive amounts of DLC, the PSP games with DLC, and Vesperia with "level up packs" "item gel sets" and about 50 different other things. Oh, and Katamari with DLC. And Ace Combat 6 with DLC, including iDOLM@STER planes.
Actually, I don't know of a single Namco game on a next-gen console that doesn't have DLC in some form.
I have noticed the author of all these stories is extremely biased. They are way too obsessed with PS3. A game is still pretty much the same game on either system. Playing it on the PS3 is not going to make it any better. =/
It needs sex. ALOT of IT.
Haven't tried this game on X360 yet. is it better than Eternal Sonata ?
Seriously now, all I can sense from these gaming related articles is pure jealously that the horrible foreign console that is Xbox 360, is getting all the JRPG's this gen.
Instead, why not get yourself a cheap 360 and enjoy JRPG's the same time as everyone else instead of deluding yourself that an annoying loli pirate girl is worth waiting many months for.
I know you Lolicon's will like this...

Looking forward to playing it again with Japanese audio. Region free (`\`)/
I'm guessing the international release will get the english dub treatement... Hopefully they'll start considering leaving in the Japanese audio track (although for all I know, on this they have) on atleast the PS3 versions. It is BluRay after all, and usually the english audio still has english subtitles to go along with it... so what's the difficulty in utilizing the capacity of BD and just allowing the option of either language by default.
As far as the option of both audio tracks not being available for XBox unless it's an addition download, it's claimed as "unfair to xbox users who don't have a harddrive". So what? PS3 uses BD so it should be a feature.
Xbox 360 users paid $60 to play test a half-ass product. They should expect missing some features. No problem there.
I am pretty sure it well..most of the PS3 games have both tracks..Valkyria Chronicle, Disgaea 3, Cross Edge, Tales of Genji all have dual audio tracks so I can't image that the ToV for PS3 won't have one
News like this is going to piss Xbox 360 Eurogamers. It's going to affect European Xbox 360 ToV sales when it gets released first week of July. And I was so looking forward to this game...
Here's to hoping that when it does come out, that Project Natal will have a plugin for ToV...
A giant rod up Xbox 360 users' ass. Feel the love from Bandai Namco.
Ahhh been waiting for this for a while. Good to know a date is finally set. I'll be waiting for a NA release date. Thanks for testing for all the bugs 360 owners.
No need to thank them. It's their job to pay cash to beta test games for PS3 players. They get RRoD as reward from MS anyways.
Too bad I don't own a PS3...
beta testing.. I lol'd.
me too,like wut?
They won't release a patch for it.Or will only the ps3 version have all of that inside what the xbox360 doens't have
That would be nice I mean i loved this game so if they made it a download I wouldnt mind paying for this extra content this time.
but im not going to get a ps3 for just this...
Hantai Game??
the 1st picture looks like H-Game!!!
Are you an idiot, KoHG?
It's obviously eye-catching fanart for more pageviews. ToV is not an H-game.
Here at Sankaku we spit at obese hamburger munching X360 lickers while gently touching the fine silver line on our PS3's (ofc not the black parts, since we don't want any stains on our precious gloss).
Lookin' forward to it, even though I beat the 360 version, it feels this version will be like a completely different experience.
I wish I could see your face the moment you realize it is not.
Loli pirate, has a loli pirate! How can be the same?
Yea it's gonna be the same sh*t. I am hoping there will be some synergy with Tales of VS on PSP though.
Exactly what they want you to think.
Is that Rita in the OP pic..? She looks hawt.. :3
It's Nan. I like that illustration btw.
- Simon Cowell of Eroge
not rita. Looks like that girl with the cresent-moon shaped blade (whose name I can't remember).
her name is Nan
I still <3 Rita more though
Still waiting for the 360 version to be released in Europe...
>generously long beta testing period on the Xbox 360
That hurt, man.
The xbox360 "beta testing" has yet to begin in Europe, its released later this month. I really thought these stupidly long waits between regions had ended. I'm too desperate to play so I'll end up with both like I did with Eternal Sonata.
Played this game, battle system is sick, but the story is soooooo boring. Not worth all the hype. I guess the lolis in it kinda make up for it.
I'll sell my 360 version to get this one, I hope they'll leave the option to have Japanese voices on the PS3 version since there is more space on the disk. The dub was ok but nothing great. If they don't I'll hold on to my 360 version.
I am disturbed by the lack of Sony and Microsoft fan boys arguing over which is the better console.
Butthurt Xbox 360 fags are still in denial of what happened. Give them some time to start over their faggotry again. Round one clearly goes to PS3.
