Just as it has all manner of bizarre and erotic happenings in the realm of 3D photography, Japanese TV also has a notable interest in using bizarre computer generated diagrams to show those more difficult to understand situations to the audience.
Several of the scenes would not look out of place in an AV, and the actual situations represented are as bizarre as they look: “Hot oil poured on sleeping father’s head”, “Baby post”, “Mystery elevator death”…

what ever happened to good old "jumping off a building" or "pushing people off a cliff"?
yeah man, I srsly think that japanese should stick to the tradional ways. I know japanese like to invent stuff but do they want really want to be first to invent unique ways to suicide? If its true then japanese are fubar since ww2.
What is going on in the upper right!?
Also, the middle image made me lol!
“Hot oil poured on sleeping father’s head” looks more like "Osaka dreaming about waking Yukari-sensei up with a frying pan" to me. But supposedly what's lying down has a "gender".
......
The "CG" watermark on the image in the middle is quite awesome. If you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have noticed...
This reminds me of a Daily show segment where Jon Stewart mocked CBS's bad CGI. The terrorists are disguised as Sims!
That's a pretty good suicide method. I'll write that down for if I ever need to kill myself.
this is a "test" how human would respond, so its seems, what would you think?
what's so mysterious about someone trying to get their bike out of the elevator and then get squished as the elevator goes down? (bike in an elevator, for those idiots who keep their bikes locked up in their rooms on the 46th floor) yeah..
#3 looks like a high body count.
Tying a rope attached to a tree around one's neck, and then pressing on the accelerator. Hmmmmmmmmm... I wonder what the probability of death is.
you know, i don't think i wanna know what goes on in the head of the kind of japanese person that comes up with this kind of stuff.
WTF?!
bukkakke on mid left?
So true.
hahahahaha XD makes sense
Time for Vipper's challenge!
Pretty sure the top left corner CG is about a suicide using car, tree, and rope.
they're discussing the feasibility of such.
which is pretty slim, because people just aren't that creative in killing themselves. Not only will the person have to calculate the length of the rope (given enough acceleration to a high velocity, your neck will snap before you suffocate [which would instead make you let go of the gas pedal and saving yourself]. A rope that's too short will not allow enough travel distance create enough acceleration, not to mention not everyone owns a high class car, or why he would kill himself if he had one anyways. On the other hand, a rope that's too long will not provide the force neccessary to snap your neck because of the acceleration being spersed out), but it's just not very practical, seeing as how it's going to be hard to find a suitable location, let alone one that's not being looked upon by bystanders.
you know all ya gotta do is get a good long length of rope, secure it, then get yourself going and engage the cruise control...
look, he made a typo, lets make fun of him! naanaaanaaa..
yeah, K is soooooo right.

Not just snapped but decapitated, huh? wonder how fast you'd have to be going for that, Aston Martin notwithstanding. 20 maybe?
Ack, I meant 33. kph, not mph.
leave me alone.
This already happened.
are you a physician?
Oh, it's possible. Just strap yourself in and put the pedal to the metal. Humans are much more delicate than you think, K.
Anon1, I believe you mean to say "physicist."
really now....thats just really weird
"Motivational Poster"
'JAPAN'
(Been producing weird Sh*t since WW2)
reminded me of the demotivators motivational poster/etc etc
1.Commit Suicide Driver.
2.Beat Up Strong Man.
3.Killing Secondary 4 Students.
4.(Obviously) Gang RAPE! I wanna join xD
5.Hot oil poured on sleeping father’s head.
6.Mystery elevator death, I guess the bike stuck and the elevator ignore it then crushed the guy on the bike while going up... That's painful death...
7.Wife (73 years old) killed Husband (77 years old) by car.
8.Baby Post, abandoning baby got caught.
9.Secondary 6 Student Gang Bang, I wanna be Japanese xD
Can someone elaborate a bit more on the other pictures? I don't really get what's happening in them.
I saw them once when I was in Japan.
They use CG is simulate and explain what happened in certain crime and events on the news to the public.
As well as on various game and entertainment shows.
Would help if the models were more realistic
No Sauce Artefact?
It comes from TV.
^ haha fair enough
video or it didnt happen
lol
What?
If the middle right pic is the mystery elevator death one, that looks like a really painful way to die.
See this from time to time on NHK and yeah, i've seen some pretty lulzworthy ones as well, especially when taken out of context.
whats baby post all about
new ways to deliver baby perhaps?
It's a box for dumping unwanted babies in. The idea was copied from the US before anyone tries to say anything.
