Sankaku Complex has now gratifyingly received an additional 25 million page views, bringing the total up to 50 million, and marking it out as a huge success.
Thanks are of course due to those responsible for allowing this success: millions of visitors, and countless thousands gracious enough to contribute to the community or link here.
The site now receives over 50,000 daily unique visitors and more than 400,000 daily page views, putting it at the forefront of the genre (if indeed it is not a genre unto itself); it also enjoys a vibrant and diverse community, and future developments, of which plenty are planned, look exceedingly promising.
The community elements of the site have all enjoyed great success; those with an interest in art are well served by Sankaku Channel, those interested in discussing an eclectic variety of topics will want to see what is on offer on the forums, and those with a taste for pointless banter may enjoy the officially sanctioned IRC channel.

It's kind of funny how nobody thought of something like this before, where you combine all the modern elements of Japanese culture - NOT JUST ANIME and roll it into one site. The variety is what makes it awesome, and the fact that it's headed by someone who has ten times as many brain cells as 4chan's founder does. Perhaps someone did think of it - but never was it as well executed in an intelligent and tasteful (yet not shameful but awesome) manner.
And yeah, I wouldn't mind Artefact turning this into a moneymaker somehow. Not just the ads, but I wouldn't mind plopping down $5 for some exclusive content, or some SPESHUL TAG that shows I'm speshul.
Anyway, congrats Artefact, let's head for 100 mil!

It's not ALL the modern elements of Japanese culture, just the most popular elements relevant to mostly male basement dwelling otaku.
In all fairness, that's exactly why I read the site but to say ALL modern elements of modern Japanese culture is patently false. Because the audience does not care about other elements of modern culture like the frustratingly prevalent boy bands of Johnny's entertainment, legitimately talented musicians, doramas, fashion, and numerous other large subcultures that aren't the otaku/Akiba subculture.

Who cares about hits? Every time the a page loads you get a hit. You also get a hit for every picture that loads on your website. So if visited your site and you had 20 pictures on the main page you would get 21 hits. I hit reload and you get another 21. See why this means nothing?

Any half-educated wretch knows that in Internet parlance a "hit" refers to what is more precisely known as a "page view." Only web servers and excessively detailed analytical packages report a hit as being on individual page elements, so why would I? Had you any reading comprehension you would have noticed I used the term "page views" in the article itself.
If you weren't so busy making a fool out of yourself, you would have noticed that I provided all those details in various previous "XXX Hits" articles.
