Why won't the fans make a daily demonstration around Kadokawa Shoten ? Seeing 100 people outside their work screaming HARUHI OR DEATH should give them a nice motivation. Or sending threat letters "Give me new episodes or I will kill that kitty !" They should know not to mess with fanatics...

Kinda glad i'm already 80% converted to Mioism (never was a Haruhist, actually, i'm more like a Nagatoist) or else i'd already rage on this one. I only wait for Haruhi S2 to see more Nagato, Tsuruya and Ryoko (if she's still alive).

The number of comments on this post shows a lot. I can't help admiring the devotion of Haruhists. How about paying $200 to stay in a hotel on the off-chance you might see an anime episode a few days earlier? For their sake -- and the sake of the anime business -- I hope this is not a cheap trick.

Also hated the fact that they dropped/marginalized the Kyonarrations. I mean i heard less narrations and witty comments from Kyon today.

Sun Television, the broadcasting station in Japan's Hyōgo Prefecture that is Japan's first station to run The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime's "renewed airing" in 2009, has aired the first new anime episode in almost three years on early Friday morning. The 2009 airing has been running its episodes in the story's chonological order, and "Sasa no Ha Rhapsody" ("Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody") is the next story chronologically in Nagaru Tanigawa and Noizi Ito's original science-fiction comedy light novels. However, this episode was not animated during the anime's first airing in 2006.

Despite this new episode, I still don't feel safe rejoicing since I've read about Kadokawa's trolling. I'll celebrate when they show more than 4 episodes total. I just don't trust that Kadokawa is going to air more episodes at this point, since they seem forever set to cock tease their viewers.

I'm glad I'm only a recent addition to the Haruhi fandom. I've only been in for a month (though, watching form afar since about christmas...) and this constant "will they?" "No, it's reruns" "Dual airing" "YES NEW SEASON" "Oh, wait, both chronologies." "fffffffffffffffffff" crap would have driven me insane over the long term.

The fans that are still devoted after all this crap deserve better treatment for their loyalty.
