Man Charged as Pedophile for Sex with Underage Wife

He's willing to put a 13 year old killer on death row and he's willing to turn a 16 year old girl with an exhibitionist streak into a "Child Pornographer" for "Exploiting" herself with her cell-phone.

We have jury duty. Just go on jury duty, lie you don't know what nullification is, then nullify for the fun of it. What's better is that if you are laid off at work (anyone can be for any reason with no good jobs to go to) you can claim "Retaliation" and get a lawyer to extort money from your ex boss. Hurt the one who took all your years of life working for him then threw you away. And even the judge that nearly has a stroke for your "Nullification" action will let the trial go through so he can take money from your employer and the state budget to pay his gross wages.

It does say specifically that the girl got pregnant before they got married. Unless something divine happened here that would indicate sex outside of the marriage. Is it not likely he got prosecuted for pre-marital sex rather than for sex once married? Unfortunately, the birth and marriage dates would convict him of that quite handily.

Reality check here, people MY age ie real adults, consider 19 year olds kids, even if we do let them buy beer.

Now if he had been a 48 year old man (like I am), yeah, maybe they have a case for child abuse, because married at 15 with a daughter = his cock was in her when she was 14 and not legal. Irregardless of where you are, people, governments or organizations will take attempts to prosecute others for any motive.
Can't really understand the use of this prosecution personally though.
Laws are just words on a piece of paper and unless executed, it is effectively useless.
However, given the right situation / environment and of course word play, anyone could effectively twist it to their advantage (or to the disadvantage of those being prosecuted)
The most effective way to protect yourself is to be familiar with the law of your country (and its effective sub-levels)

Yet another argument AGAINST the 'child sexual abuse' and statutory rape laws. It is simply time to realize that these laws were NEVER meant to protect children.... they were meant to keep them ignorant and allow parents to not do their job: monitoring their children to make sure that the people they are hanging out with are not forcing them into sex or anything else!

Time to simply LEGALIZE pedosexuality and ONLY go after people if they have physically forced or verbally threatened with physical force ANYONE, child or not, into sexual situations or activities.

From my own experiences as a child.... I can tell you that is not usually happening with child/adult sexual relationships, and the child is going into it with 'eyes wide open'.

That's absolutely ridiculous. The parents let them get married, so they should be able to have as much sex as want!! And it's not like the guy is that much older than 18. They are basically the same age.

Pretty sure the argument here isn't that he isn't legally allowed to bone his underage wife. Since they're legally married, he should be able to bone her as much as he wants as long as it's consensual. What's not legal is that he boned her before they were married. I think that since she lied to him about her age, though, and admits that she did, the court will probably be lenient, and let him off.

I just remembered something I read years ago...

"You don't get married to have sex, you get married to raise a family".
The argument here, is that sex actually die off in frequency a few years after marriage, and that the whole point of the wedding rings is to create an environment where children could be raised. If sex is what you really wanted, getting married is going to stop that eventually.

From that argument, then, the law that persecuted the husband is outrageous. He married the girl, thus he likely wanted children with her. Why legalize the marriage to begin with then?

The greatest fault here is the girl lied about her age. All this mess could had been avoided if she told the truth about her age.

This certainly seemed to be a happy marriage. The couple are devoted and they had the parent's blessings. However, there's this really stupid mistake of lying about age.

And what were the parents doing? They should know that their daughter is still not legal yet and be kind enough to tell their son-in-law so.

Lack of common sense and dishonesty was what ruined this marriage.
