I watch K-On, I like K-On, but I don't think its anywhere near as good as everyone seems to be making it out to be. Its a slightly above average cutesy school girls anime. I don't see what the extreme hype is about.

Well, I watched the first episode without any expectatives, after all I dont like music anime... and I got hit for a critical moe strike, 999.999 damage and moe-lover status gained.
One episode its all that take. And all the other were pure overkill. :D

It's overly successful for no good reason apart from it has a little bit of moe, it seems.
Just disregard the hype and watch it for what it is. An enjoyable slice-of-life with some music scenes thrown in.

Carrie Savage will NOT voice Hakafu "Ikki Tuson" ever again. Jessica Boone was very Nice. Luci Christian is always professional, Steve Prince (Uryu "Bleach") scolded me when I told him I've been watching Fan Subs. Stephanie Sheh is often nice. Greg Ayers class act, his brother...way too 'Liberal' for my taste. Johnny Boosh (Ichigo) total professional. Leah Clark (Eri -School Rumble) total doll- actually looks as sassy as she sounds.

This show is overrated. Watched the first four episodes, there are absolutely no character developments, just a bunch of random events. On episode four, they were supposed to go practice, but ended up playing for the whole episode, wtf? ...

Blame the manga than. The anime has been almost 100% faithful to the manga so far.
I'd rather bring down to 95% now, I mean, they fuck up the whole reason of the last scene on episode 5!!!!

There are actually some character developtments in K-ON!; Suwa/Kawa-chan revealing her yandere side, Mio overcoming her timidness, Yui showing the others that she got The Skill despite being a n00b, Ritsu's...... er...., and Mugi slowly exposing herself as a closet lesbian... i think.
The problem is these haters are overexpecting something extreme on an SOL comedy series. Seriously, what are you guys expecting anyway? Yui transforming into some sort of white skinned female giant? Mio getting automail limbs after a failed attempt of transmuting her broken bass guitar? Ritsu confessed that she has a brain tumour and only can live 3 more years (typical korean drama reference)? Mugi trying hard to be a crybaby lonely Mary Sue..?
Oh I for one wouldn't mind seeing the FMA reference.
