Valiant cosplay champion and occasional kickboxer Yuichiro Jienotsu Nagashima has been mercilessly crushed by Dutch kickboxing powerhouse Albert Kraus, whose overwhelming weight of experience overcame even Yuichiro’s cosplay powers, with a swift knockout the price of an inadequately dazzling costume.
You can see his crushing defeat below:
His opening cosplay was from fujoshi anime Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu, and it seems he evaded having his costume torn from his broken body and taken off to the Netherlands as spoils. Kraus for his part unspectacularly cosplayed an angry Dutchman.
He graciously acknowledged defeat at the hands of the lowland brute in this eloquent blog post, which soon attracted nearly 2,000 comments:
I Lost.
I took the punch and lost. I couldn’t project myself at all. I’m just not there yet. I’ll rest a little and then try even harder than before.
I can still do this. I’ll keep at it!
Thank you to everyone who cheered me on.
He vowed to train harder, even in fighting.
His battle was a complete success in one sense though, as event organisers boasted of TV ratings of 17%, compared to an average of 11%.
2ch for its part quickly took to rubbishing him as a loser who had it coming.
Observers generally consider his loss an inevitability, with the difference in class between the Dutch beast, an international champion, and the otaku warrior, a national level fighter, being simply too great. It seems unlikely we have heard the last of cosplay kickboxing, however…

Matches of this length are quite common in K1, since there are no requirements for opponents to be among the same class/weight like in usual boxing or the likes. They only fight for a maximum of 3 rounds too.
did the guy kiss Kraus at 6:49? O_o
He did, but Kraus claims that dressing up as a girl makes someone more gay than being kissed by other men.
To quote a famous actor from the movie "FRIDAY":
"You got knock the FUCK OUT!"
This guy need to man up!
You'll be back in your game again, Yuichiro!
Keep it up! I have faith in you!
He is a good fighter but he just not ready for the fight. How many otaku dare to fight with the kick boxer [and his opinion is not Asian]. However, he keep get up after he was falling down.
Good fight even it is a short fight but it good.
Nooooo!
Get them next time, Yuichiro!
It,is,good,that,he,wants,to,improve.
But,he,is,at,a,disadvantage..strength,wise.
and,perhap,perseverence.
I,still,love,his,cosplays,gang,though.
I see you really like comas. No love for spaces?
The,spaces,are,on,vacation.
You shouldn't eat your space bar, it's bad for your health.
Poor dude...
I hope he recovers from that and gives us more cosplays and fights
Dutchs are fags. No exceptions.
If Dutches are fags, then Yuichiro will be their king...if u know what I mean >_>
Because we all know that being a crossdresser means that you are gay.
Owned. I judged him as having guts before, but with a match that quick I can only think of him as an idiot now.
Why would he have guts before? Or why would he lose after this match?
If he has it, then he has it. There is no such thing as losing making him to lose it.
AS A SIDE NOTE: I still didn't watch the video.
im curious as to see who's that chick that had her hand over her mouth gasping, she seem a bit to me like nozomi sasaki but i doubt the possibility
She is Nozomi Sasaki.
Just listen to the commentator guy interviewing her and mentioning her name near the end of the video.
I'm sure Yuichiro will train harder and kicks more ass.. He has Nozomi Sasaki as his fans!
Glad he got ass kicked
You Lose...K.O.
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
*Lots of Camera Flashes*
Oh those 2chan trash talkers, always very valiant behind the keyboard, but I bet most of them would pee their pants if they even entered the ring against Kraus.
Yes Yuichiro was ill prepared for this match. Kraus has longer arm reach and faster punches. His legs are longer too but he's bad at kicking. Kraus always has a tough time against kickers. Yuichiro might have done better if he had kept Kraus at distance with kicks, pushed him away every time he kicked so he lost balance, and slowly wore him down, then moved in for the knock out if he was tired enough, otherwise go for punches, as kicks don't score enough points to win a match.
Watch Kraus get his ass handed back to him by Buakaw.

Mr.Kraus is known as the "HURRICANE". His fast hooks gives him that. Also Albert has 14 loses in his record Yuichiro shouldn't give up! Train harder get better, faster and stronger!
14 losses? That's more experience than Yuichiro has in his total pro career. Well, we'll see how he comes back from this, the true character of a fighter will come out the match after a loss.
Gaan Nederland!!
He had it coming a cosplaying boxer? Go wrestling or something.
He should have cosplayed as ippo, but their will always be a winner and a loser. Frankly though I just can't feel the impact on match these day, like Tyson vs Holyfield.
Hahahahaha, the look on that girl's face right after Yuchiro get's KTFO is priceless. I've got no problem with a little bit of pre-fight entertainment (i.e. Genki Sudo), but dressing up as an anime schoolgirl is a little whack. Especially if you can't back it up.
Gotta say I thoroughly enjoyed watching Kraus eat him for breakfast.
Yuichiro is still my idol
FUCK THE DUTCH GUY
This is the fate of crossplay boxer
Deserves him right (:
who cares about this fruit who's the chic on 6:42?
He he he...
PWNED !
everybody lose. nothing new here, idiots.
yeah but its the humiliation and defeat u have to deal with later
There's nothing to be humilliated about when a fighter knows that he did his best on the ring and if he feels that it wasn't enough, he will simply train harder.
In UFC you have a perfect example of that on Quinton Jackson. He was a punching bag for Wanderlei Silva in PRIDE. A few years later and he can knockout Silva on the first round. That's the evolution of a fighter, they don't spend time crying and feeling humilliated about a loss, they accept it and train harder so that it won't happen again.
What humiliation?
I don't see anything here, other than him losing.
Humiliation is many time self-inflicted.
Boastful comments before-hand make a loss much worse.
Contrast with a pre-fight statement such as, "I know my opponent is a worthy fighter; I have been training diligently and simply will do my best."
Humiliation? What the fuck are you talking about? Losing is a big part of this sport.
you need to learn this: sportsmanship.
you'll only have humiliation if you're too proud to tell others that you will certainly win in a match but then lose
ahaha, searched the info right after the match ended >.> (I was so curious about the match)
well, some battles you win, some battles you lose, he won the championship last time, but like takumi (initial D) unless he had experienced defeat, he won't grow.
Which happens with a lot of fighters. Like Fedor Emelianenko, who lost to TK Kohsaka due to a cut injury in 2000 and, has been undefeated since then.
In battle, its not always win. Someone will always come and overpower you.
Do you best Yuichiro! I believe in ya'!
Cave Kraus' skull in next time!
+1
hope he cosplays as cast-off gundam Virtue next match so he can switch to Nadleeh after tiring his opponent. XD
hahaha...
It would be better as GP-03 Dendobrium.
Fuck Yeah Kraus
