You say this is epic? I say this is an epic fail. You can't enjoy playing any game from zero range. For example let's say I have this desk, a PS3 and a 40 inch TV. can I put the TV on this desk? no. Now let's say I put a computer there. Can I play with my keyboard (or even put it on the table)? no. Why? because there's a damn stick protruding from the table...
I play on my pc from a relatively close range. Arcade machines, too, are close. Who would use a 40 inch from this range? A 21 inch monitor would do fine. The person who made this probably did not think of using a keyboard, so why make room for something you don't use?
Obviously the person who made it made it because he wanted to. There's no point in complaining about something you're not going to use.
Oh this is just LOL, especially since I am a joystick user as well. Certainly, extremist, but it can be very stable indeed.
Pratical mod. I don't like the indigo color job, and I would probably go to the lengths of putting custom artwork on my desk. I also have a preference for seimitsu parts too. It's funny, Westerners can make better and more beautiful custom sticks. But I guess that's why the Japanese will always be better players because they only care about playing the game instead of looking good while playing it.

The guy actually uses dupont corian as the top layer of the desk. That must be hard to drill through! Only problem is because of the thickness, the lever is a bit short.
