Fact: knit swimwear was all the rage back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, after the frumpy bathing dresses of yore went out of fashion, and before Lycra came along. Although this particular outfit appears to be more along the line of lingerie, rather than swimwear, it makes me wish it had never fallen out of favour.

That depends mostly on the fiber in question. Is it wool? Cotton? Acrylic? Wool might be somewhat itchy, as might acrylic, but cotton shouldn't be.

There's a cozy feeling about this kind of "clothing". The shoes ruin it a bit in my opinion though.
