The first one is a Gibson Les Paul Junior; it'll run you about 800 bucks. Overpriced for a simple guitar like that.

No, the guitar itself is what would bankrupt otaku. The models used in the anime are quite expensive.

I am cautiously optimistic here. But on the other hand you will have to make a difference between the size of both franchises (marketing we will leave out due to reasons obvious) It is true that K-On! has yet to grow, but it will have to be really spectacular for them to start work on a rhythm game. It looks promising enough for now though.

You do realize that these are custom works, right. Not for sale. The farthest this is going to go is for them to let out stickers for guitars, at best.

You know what would be 'inventive' if they somehow combined that game on the Wii that lets you make your own music and then made downloadable 'avatars' or skins of the K-On! (or Harhuhi, Lucky Star, Idolmaster)
characters - Then let you watch them play the music you made. Sorta like a "Create a Fighter" in "Soul Calibur 4" or "Mortal Kombat 8".
People already make AMV's like Haruhi doing 'Death Metal' or whatever. I'd like to see some Haruhi & K-On! cross-over Dojinshi but...I'm sure about 1 month ahead of 2Ch on that- lol.
