Korean Attacks Missile Protestor

A storm has erupted after video of a Japan-resident Korean attacking a Japanese protestor was posted online.

The protest was criticising North Korea’s missile test diplomacy and the role Japan’s Korean population has in supporting the North Korean regime.

The van and accompanying right-wing orator are complaining about North Korea’s latest efforts to intimidate Japan by firing missiles over its territory; in this case the missile did not fall onto Japanese territory, but alarm at nearly nuclear armed North Korea and its ongoing missile program is growing in Japan.

He also highlights the role of Zainichi Koreans (Japan’s largest ethnic minority, most of whom now have Japanese citizenship, but who still face discrimination in some cases) in supporting the North Korean regime through organised crime.

He makes particular reference to the widely known Korean dominance of pachinko parlours (90% of these establishments are said to be owned by Koreans, with half of those operated by supporters of North Korea), which supports Pyongyang with billions of yen in remittances.

However, right wing groups in Japan are themselves known to have shady connections, although the details of this protestor’s ties are not known.

After finishing his speech, he was approached by a youth of Korean descent, who objected to his complaints about the missiles.

Prior to the altercation the exchange between the Korean (who is speaking Osaka accented Japanese) and the orator runs as follows:

Zainichi: Come on and say that to my face.
Orator: As I was saying, Korea-
Zainichi: Your breath stinks, shut up.
Orator: What? Then you shut up. Don’t come over here and talk to me.
Zainichi: It stinks, shut the hell up!
Orator: Typical Korean tactic. What’s wrong with you?
Zainichi: What the-, Korean?
Orator: What the hell is the wrong with you!?
Zainichi: Don’t underestimate Koreans!
Orator: You’re disgusting. Stay away from me. Don’t talk to me. Just what is it you want to say?
Zainichi: You just insulted Koreans didn’t you!?
Orator: Because I hate Koreans. I hate them. Really hate them. Completely hate them. So I want to see them driven out of Japan. Ok? Trash. Korean-
Zainichi: I’ll kill you! (knockdown attack) You bastard! Trash, you say?!
Orator: Violence is wrong, wrong. I’m being attacked… Ow ow ow…
Zainichi: What!? Mess with Korea and we’ll kill you!
Orator: Stop this violence…

Police quickly subdued the man and the orator was able to gleefully resume protesting, now highlighting the wicked ways of Koreans with the incident firmly in hand.

The orator appears to have been delighted with the attention and probably realised this sort of conduct represents a substantial publicity coup.

As with so many Korean patriots, behaving credibly when confronted with national criticism proved problematic for the man concerned, although clearly the orator was not afraid of provoking the Korean further.

The media and commenters are generally keen to highlight this violent and illegal behaviour from the Zainichi Korean, without too much concern given to the problematic nature of generalising all Koreans from a single Osaka thug, although in fairness such behaviour is far from isolated.

Any element of provocation on the part of the orator also appears to be overlooked, although he was certainly well within his rights to express himself freely in that fashion.

It seems Koreans are generally their own worst enemy when it comes to making Korea look bad…

These people disappoint me. They have a young man attacking an elderly person [no matter the reason] right in front of them and all they can do is say “it’s ok, it’s ok, let go”.

Pass your arm around his neck from the back and choke the bastard until he loses consciousness. Granted, the old man was playing it correctly to his propagandistic favor, but when did they all forget how to defend someone else from violence?

The police officers were pretty bad too, they shouldn’t need 5 people to subdue the man, showing how most the time the police enforces by authority alone, but find themselves inept or crippled when someone defies their authority.

Also, both the old man and the youngling are at faul here. The old man is a xenophobic and the young one is a patriotistic fanatic.

Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, What does it matter they all look the same to me. Japs started a whole shitstorm on Koreans and Chinese back on WWII. It gave us the perfect opportunity to test our nukes on our enemies. Hell we werer Heroes to the Chinese and Koreans for saving their asses from the Japanese.

    • Anonymous says:

You know, Nazi Germans were heroes too, claimed by the people living in the countries they liberated from Stalin’s regime of terror: Ukraine, parts of Finland and some other eastern European countries. And yet, nazis are generally viewed as the embodiment of evil by people at large, demonstrating once more that history is made by the victorious.

young boy played right into the hands of the old man. big mouth old man won the day using his mind over emotional boy. that kid was wacky nuts. and interesting to watch japan cops. in america cops would have given that kid 10 seconds to calm down and if he didn’t he would have gotten electric tazer up his butt. if i ever get arrested i want to get arrested in japan. they seem like nice cops.

    • Anonymous says:

Lol, that last line would be true if if wasn’t for the fact that Japanese police can keep you arrested under no charges and without evidence for 23 days without right to call or otherwise contact anyone outside to let them know about your situation [the police sure as hell won’t] and with no legal adviser of any sort to defend you.

it’s hard to tell who made the dumber mistake
orator for leaving himself open and provoking korea (whose politically trying to stir up trouble
Zainichi for making his country look bad and losing his temper thus giving orator and example to use against him
who do you guys think? (just say the name and maybe a reason)

  • “It seems Koreans are generally their own worst enemy when it comes to making Korea look bad…”

All too true it seems… dunno why a lot of koreans are like that especially in foreign countries. It’s like saying, “Lets kill the fire by throwing our books at it!” (to the crazy koreans, i am korean so chill. you know it’s true as well)

  • That´s funny, Japan gives billions of dollars to it´s neighbouring countries and in return, they build a museum to stimulate the hatred, going as far as depicting photos of a korean serial killer´s victims as if the japanese army had killed them at WWII.

If you think Korea is a great place, I ask you this, what would happen if a japanese living in korea smacked someone protesting against Japan? I don´t think we would ever see him again. Koreans are soooo civilized and corageous that they choose to slay a bunch of birds (afterall, birds are such vicious and perilous man-eating creatures) in front of the japanese embassy as a form of protest.

And if Japan tried to test a missile or a nuke, I bet the UN would probably have occupied Japan by now.

    • About lying about the past, america is a favorite at this. More native americans were killed then jews on the holocaust and it still is praised as the birth of a great nation, a land of liberty and equality.
Also, no american has commited any war crime, not even:

      – two a-bombs;
      – Shooting people in the water after sinking their boats;
      – Killing children with bayonets and explosives;
      – torturing prisioners (in the past and now);
      – removing entire populations to use their land as test sites;
      – giving radioactive pills to eskimos to test it´s effects;
      – endorsing the killing spree in the Turkish-Armenians fo political reasons;
      – betraing allies;
      – ignoring the UN;
      – invading other countires on a whim, etc, etc…

  • Granted that the Korean dude acted like a complete ass, and this kind of stuff is making Koreans look bad, where we should just get over it. BUT, most of you people on this site JUST DON’T GET IT. I’m saying it for ALL parties of the matter. BOTH FOR AND AGAINST JAPANESE AND KOREANS. The way I see it is that a Japanese guy acting racist and a Korean guy came and gone on his level. So with all due respect Mr. Artefact, BOTH the JAPANESE and KOREAN had been BOTH racist in this issue. What bothers me, is that even though this article is NOT racist AND/OR biased against Koreans, it is NOT being fair with Koreans either. This is practically the same with all the articles Artefact made concerning Koreans and Chinese. I won’t call this site nor the author racist, but to be honest you are NOT being, fair and well understanding either. This goes the same with any one for the Korean and post crap about Japanese. To bluntly put it to you Artefact and anyone and EVERYone like him (again BOTH FOR AND AGAINST JAPANESE AND KOREANS), you’re showing favoritism. That’s with these kind of articles and responses on this damn site, you are ALL showing favoritism. You are giving needless and undeserved respect and praise to one country and completely shit on others without really understanding it and where it comes from but so quick to show shame and utter hate for it. Sort of like a international level of primogeniture on one side, and using great comfort to use of kind of infanticide to another, and almost every single one of you on this damn site is responsible for this kind of shit when it comes to these articles. Many of you are acting very uncivil and to many those who are civil, are expressing it in an uncivilized manner. If you think you are more civilized than the Koreans and Chinese you think are assholes and/or so love to hate and bash in these articles about them, then show some restraint and don’t bitch about it like they do. this goes the same with the Koreans and Chinese on the Japanese and and anyone else especially a westerner who should in my opinion technically not be and add fuel to this mess either. so to show some contempt, here’s bit of an ultimatum for everyone. To the Japanese and those supporting on this, I’m Korean. I can’t speak for ALL Koreans but, I am a law binding citizen and have been all my life. I respect others as I do respect myself. I greatly respect Japan, it’s people and it’s culture and do not generalize an ENTIRE group when I observe an isolated incident like the one here in this article. I have never been obnoxious or been a perfectionists. I DON’T distort history in fact I will admit to the mistakes we had in the past. I never ate dogs, cats or any other domestic animals or any animal most people won’t consider eating for that matter. I DON’T have a box shaped head and slits for eyes or NOTHING plastic. I never had a plastic surgery in my life (and just so you know, a plastic surgery doesn’t use “plastic”). I do NOT represent barely ANY of the characteristics of a stereotypical Korean you people project. And I am deeply ashamed and sadden by the trend many Koreans have prod themselves against others, and wish we world show the world better in a better light and forgive Japan for what they did. But you know what? That still doesn’t stop me from being Korean and being proud of it too. You jerks wouldn’t know one thing about us if you didn’t stop the bull and actually took the time and LEARN without any prejudice, doubt, BAD expectations, nor even concern. But I can’t expect mush from you assholes can I. For the Koreans and Chinese and those who supporting on this, I know you are mad at Japan for what they did in the past I understand that, but it’s over now. I know it hasn’t been THAT long but Japan is a peaceful nation today. And it’s and all other Japanese are overall good and nice people who sorry for what they done and show remorse for it too. And I know there are some who are stuck at the past but they don’t represent Japan and Japanese as a whole. I know and are friends with many and they don’t act like that. Us Chinese and Koreans will serve NO good if we continue this silly and idiotic grudge against the Japanese or any other nation for that matter. It prove people like Artefact and Firetrbe so right, it will be considered fact. And I know we can’t have that can we. Being pent up for what was bad in the past is never going to help us for what’s in store that’s good in the future. I know it’s a hard pill to swallow for you but we should give up this childish thuggish act. And be happy that what Japan did then , is not happening now. I will not come off like a jerk and say “get over it” but I’m asking you not as a fellow Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Asian, but a fellow human being, please PLEASE let it GO. And if someone talks crap about you and your people over something like this (speaking for the GOOD Chinese and Koreans on this), DON’T RESPOND. Never let these people get to you. You don’t have to prove NOTHING to them. You know what you did. You are aware of your country and the events in her life. The culture, history, the ACTUAL truth, etc. If you know what you did good in your life and what your country did good in her life and have NO regrets, don’t show no regrets. Sadly, they won’t know that, and they probably NEVER will. Getting in to people like Narcissist and their pitiful, pathetic preschool games will make you no better neither. And I know you aren’t preschoolers are you? Just be glad that they are ranting their wasteful lives about this under a computer and not taking it to the streets just like the “noisy” Koreans, Chinese, and Japaneses are in the minority, especially in the internet despite popular misconception. so don’t worry. In conclusion, we are playing one of the biggest troll games of the all, and It’s getting us NOWHERE to winning. It’s like the saying goes: Arguing over the internet is like running in the special Olympics … even IF YOU win, You re still RETARDED. This can apply to outside life in this kind of situation as well. And in outside life getting into each others throats is making Asia the new Europe. This over-nationalism in ALL countries in the topic are ALL to blame. No more NO less. Aren’t we ALL human.

I know this comment-essay is hella long but it’s been bugging me for the longest and I can’t hold back on NOTHING. Also people must learn from this and the mistakes we made. I will expect criticism for this and I accept this. But I hope that everyone can agree with me on this notion. The further it is we concentrate on a dark past, the harder it is for us to make a bright future. So to anyone and everyone in sankakucomplex and the internet in general that is read my comment, I give you this cliche, yet misunderstood line:

“Cant we ALL just get along”

    Please, Please respond!!!

    ~Have a nice FUCKING DAY~

    • Or to put it more directly:

This is a SITE OF UTTER TRASH RUN BY A FAILED FAGGOT-LIMEY TABLOID HACK-JOURNALIST (WHO IS ALSO A GENDER-CONFUSED PEDOPHILE)which caters specifically to all the young people who’s parents have UTTERLY FAILED IN THEIR JOB TO RAISE THEM. Some of the kids here also have PERSONALITY,LEARNING AND PSYCHIATRIC disorders that are probably the result of parents ingesting unhealthy substances while pregnant. Many of the kids are well on their way toward FULL BLOWN DYSFUNCTIONAL lives defined by an absence of sex with a live partner and a MOLE-LIKE relationship to the outside world.

This site is a glorified TABLOID-STORY-REGURGITATOR dressed up as an anime site. You can find all the pictures on the various picture sites through use of GOOGLE. You can also find all the ORIGINAL “stories” by clicking the source material (whenever Artefact has the presence of mind to list it). They are about 90% originating from the shittiest tabloids that England, America, Japan and Russia have to offer. (The Russian source is PRAVDA, which everyone knows is about half-tabloid.) OCCAISIONALLY they will regurgitate stories from reputable sites but they have a tendency to misquote them…lol.

You can also find all the anime and game info from the ORIGINAL SITES (with MORE pictures)without having to deal with Artefact’s tiresome verbal diahrrea spilled all over it.

  • LOL well eventually the japanese-korean hate will manifest itself as it did with young korean dude owning middle age japanese dude. In any terms his burst of KOREANS are TRASH is unacceptable being korean myself and although i have admiration and respect for the japanese this sadly disturbs my ideals of korean-japanese asian alliances ;p….=/
And for all the anti korean comments… mostly coming from whites and non korean or japanese is just odd… as much as korea can be insulted, it can be praised and that goes for almost any nation or racial group…(almost)

  • People make me sick. The hate is pointless. We are all human beings. We are not our government. We are not our country. We are human beings and in that we are all the same.

If you insist on hating, hate an individual for that individual’s beliefs and wrongdoings. Don’t hate a group of people based on stereotypes and your ignorance.

    • See, that another point i’ve been wondering about?
Why do the japanese like the Nazis and the Führer so much? Hetalia Axis Power or Fullmetal Alchemist anybody? (don’t even mention historical reasons here)

From personal experience they are kind of nostalgic of our german past. I just don’t get it. Germans are really embarrassed by their past, yet there are people like Gross_Panzernekko_Division with their unqualified remarks.

      • The Japanese likes the Führer and the Nazis so much because of their really well designed uniforms. Admit it, as much as they are a bunch of self-righteous delusional jerks, you still dig their uniforms.

Then again, their uniform was designed by Hugo Boss.

      • Gross_Panzernekko_Division says:

are you sure what are you saying…its mein opinion…Hitler is a charimastic leader but not a good strategist…..i know more history about the the third reich….and I glorify the strength of the Wehrmacht… i dont care about the issues of hetalia axis in korea, koreans are just overzealous patriots….

        • uhm its not really a japanese fad with Germany but it is a fact that the Germans are and were the most militarily organized and developed state. Japan whose heritage has long been built on a basis of honor and warrior code (primarily around ww2) gladly admires that spirit that the Germans exhibited. Of course though they hesitate to glorify the darker side of Germans lol and koreans FTW k thx gtfo haters

    • Altair.Hashan says:

they only difference between them is their politics in their country where they live. thats it. in the 1950’s they where in one country. but a civil war broke out. one side was Communist backed up by the former USSR the other capitalistic/democratic backed up by the USA. thats it. they killed each other for a few years and now live in separated country’s. and thats it. they are all still KOREANS.

  • Wow… Racist much?

This is topic is such a predictable sad train wreck. No one’s going to win in their arguments. This just gives them the feeling that they did and call it a day.

  • Racist talk is proactive, someone will get angry. So I have to side with the retard when it comes to law, since he can say what he wants while the Korean guy should’ve just walked away or never have confronted him in the first place.

    • its hard when hes calling your entire race and blood simple trash. So as an american i wouldnt condemn the orator’s right to say what he wants but he should know that once you go too far, a fist or foot will make contact with your mouth

  • I’m not to worried about NK technology for the moment. I’d rather call their missiles, for “Inter-Communal Missiles” -_-

Anyway, not a nice thing to do from the old man there, and violence is a no-no to that kid. After all these are individuals so we shouldn’t call a whole country idiots for their stupid behavior.

  • the yellow people will take over the world, anybody ever told you that to anyone?

Something from my dead great grandmother who forcasted many things.

And asteroids will come down like in a burning flame of pants.Destroying big citys and leaving the small.

Truly i am not on topic here, but i just heard this again today.

    • A lot of them are just calling him trash and ridiculing the guy and some other racist remarks against Korea..

Overall, I’m mostly disgusted by the lack of action from the Japanese police to settle the tensions between the Korean and Japanese protester by either restraining the Japanese man or arresting the Korean promptly.

        • for some reason in the otaku community, there is a 100% japanis Godmode mentality while other nations that contribute greatly to anime, and etc (such as KOREAN artists and studios in subsidies for JAPANESE studios) are ignored and even insulted…

So from this attitude its easy to bandwagon hate on koreans as most of these idiots shouting FUCK KOREA are doing…

          In Any case, KOREA FTW

  • could’ve been avoided if he just ignored it. i mean theres always going to be racist people, and i doubt everytime you come across one you’re going to try to shut every single one up just for talking smack.
+ he probably would’ve thought twice if it wasnt some grandpa doing the protesting.

  • Apart from that japanese guy being **Extremely racist *i wont generalize as to the whole japanese population*

But i love the part where he says I really hate then, Completely hate them.
then the next words out of his mouth are
    “Violence is wrong”
xDDDDD… the worlds’ irony is delicious.

  • @Sankaku: THANK YOU for stoking biased racism towards Koreans in a place where most of your readers are either weaboos or otakus (myself included). Thank you for giving me the facts as they come but still in the end wording it as if the korean guy was the most overreacting. Thank you for giving me reasons to start hating all these little Asian countries.

I lived my whole life in a country where we get insulted about being asians all fucking days (yes even now) and how we should GTFO of the land. After some years it really wears you down and one more insult can blow your lid off. I don’t know how they are treated in Japan, but Japan is, unlike most foreigners and weaboos want to think, just as racist and biased as any other homogeneous population.

I live in USA now, and if someone insults a person for ethnicity or whatever, they don’t have to stand that crap, you can defend and be proud of your roots without people looking at you like the one who started anything.

And thank you all readers for your retarded comments, it makes me feel there is no more hope for this world.

    • I think it’s a far stretch to say that Sankakucomplex stokes racism towards Koreans. Not to disparage our website anything, but you do understand that this article is followed by an article about Hatsukoi Limited having tons of panty shots, right?

Even America has its share of nutjobs who will scream racial epithets in order to provoke a reaction. While I have no sympathy for the Japanese missile protester, it’s easy to see that the Korean Zainichi played right into his hands.

      • So posting an entry about a person who got ticked off who’s from a country Japan gets along like cats and dogs in a blog where virtually everyone is IN LOVE with Japan (myself included) is not stoking racism? if it’s not, it sure is helping people think “man, fuck koreans”.

I’m done with siding with any nationality or ethnicity; sometimes it’s like religion and they brainwash you to do their sick biding.

        • The facts have been reported in a balanced manner. The issue attracted hundreds of thousands on comments on the Japanese Internet, so it is definitely worthy of note. We can’t control what people think in response to this, only influence it, and the more we do that the more likely it is accusations of bias come in to play.

    • Completely agree. Other people might point out that a large amount of posts are about various japanese depravities, but it’s always in a tone of “oh that japan, tee hee” but whenever it comes to something korean, it often seems to be something political, or racist; something to make the WHOLE of korea race look bad instead of some isolated incidence of prostitution, etc, like for other articles. (As far as I know, I’ve always thought asian countries fairly racist anyways, and nationalistic, even if they don’t show it overtly.)

Obviously, what the korean guy did here was stupid, albiet understandable and would’ve been just a blip on the radar in the US, but considering the situation and location, not a wise choice of action. I kinda got the feeling like verbal abuse in general is socially acceptable in Japan in general, while physical abuse isn’t.

I haven’t tried this myself, but I’m pretty sure if I went into any community of people in the US and started talking shit about how “niggers” are trash, or “spicks” can go back to mexico, or that “towelheads” are all terrorists who should be executed, or that all asians are “chinks” and slanted my eyes while going ching chong chang, and that they’re all human trash, I wouldn’t be surprised if things wouldn’t come to blows at all.

I’m also sure opinions would be divided in who was more to blame, since others thing verbal abuse is perfectly fine (especially those on the internet who are safe from physical abuse), and those who believe violence is a viable means of resolving a conflict, and those who are fine with just calling everyone a retard as well.

I can’t help but feel that we never seem to grow up from our childish ways of arguing back and forth, sometimes hurling insults, sometimes coming to blows. It’s just that as we grow older, the repercussions of using physical means becomes criminal.

      • Sankakucomplex doesn’t have that many posts on Korea. And Korean politics generally don’t really get written about because frankly no one bothers to read them. They’re unpopular to the point that people ask that we stop writing about them.

The Korean stuff that does get written is usually about plastic surgery or actresses becoming sex slaves or about an actress who was convicted of having an affair.

The Hentalia related stories we had were some of the first stories that were somewhat political only in that the Koreans made it into a political issue instead of treating it as a non issue it really is. I mean who cares if some fictional cartoon character grabbed the breasts of another fictional cartoon character – stuff like that doesn’t warrant being discussed at the Korean National assembly.

However, many people find bias whenever we write about a particular nation. I honestly thought that Romanians would launch hate filled diatribes when we posted three Romanian stories in a row, but it appears they tend to take things in stride and most of them just thought it was funny that something so odd happened in their country.

      • Attacking someone in the U.S. for being annoying is not socially acceptable either. It wouldn’t be news (especially not for this website), because violence between cultural groups isn’t unusual. It would just be another case in judicial system.

  • Oh! We’ve got a commie dick sucker!
Both the men in the vid are assholes. Conservative Japanese nationalists/imperialists have ties to Yakuza. (Yakuza are pretty conservative and nationalistic.) North Korean dogs who have ties to theor own organized crime…’nuff said. The world knows North Korea is not the final word in what defines “Korean”. It’s just a corrupt regime ruled by a crazy man with failing health from overindulgence. The cool Korea is South Korea with their new wave of monster movies, gangster flicks and online video games.
Fuck Kim Jong and fuck those old farts in Japan with their imperialist wet dreams.

  • nukoes and all else aside,

i would like to see you ppl keep your cool if you went out to a foreign country and some cuntbag was shouting shit about your home country…

i agree this korean guy over reacted but i don’t really blame him… >.>

    • ManaYagami says:

It’s understandable that he would want to beat the shit out of the orator, he should have known that he wouldn’t get anywhere through violence, since the orator was on his “right” of free speech.

Now, I don’t consider it a right to ostracize an entire group of people simply because of their nationality and/or because what their nation has done or is doing, like the orator did by offending the Koreans living in Japan. I understand the critics to the public support given to the North Korean government, but he lost any reason that he could have when he started offending every Korean and generalizing with his accusations, so even though both are to blame, the orator was the one who provoked the aggression. That doesn’t justify the violent act against him, but it was a matter of time until someone reacted to the provocation.

  • hurricane567 says:

SK is a nice little country, NK is a toilet. Anybody, anywhere, who thinks NK is the victim in this or thinks NK should be more aggressive needs to be dropped out of a plane into Dear Leader’s Glorious Socialist Paradise. I give them a week b4 they are begging and pleading to be rescued.

    • Rescued from what? That is a hell, but it’s no different from our – we have food, they have insight. Did you remember what it took Gautama to understand what the world was all about? And where are you supposed to walk on the street, experience the famine and glimpse at corpses? I repeat, hell is no different from hell. Here is hot, there is cold. A true jain hell.
But having experienced our own christian hell i would rather live in the asian counterpart, at least i would get the meaning of what here is missing – i would open my eyes to what’s the shit inside and outside of a country, and never more cherish what is filth, inside, but especially outside.
THE WESTERN WORLD IS A SCAM, did’ya hear me? Go praise your bread, and leave them to their struggle for a world that is not of their own.

        • South Korea is a pretty good place to live, if you ignore the entertaining Parliament brawls.

North Korea, on the other hand, is a cesspool. It is a backwards, paranoid and brainwashed land. And as far as the North Koreans are concerned, the Korean War isn’t over. And you can blame the backwards, intellectually awkward state of that country on Kim Jong II. As far as I know, North Korea is such that nothing goes in and definitely, nothing gets out. It’s an Iron Curtain thing all over again. And I’m not talking about those that makes your tanks invulnerable temporarily.

The world is a nasty place, and North Korea is one of the nastier places to live in. The only places even worse would be Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel (if you are a Palestinian) and African states. I definitely can’t stand studying in the same classroom as the British, but I would rather not be living in the state of poverty and paranoia in North Korea.

As in regards to the protestors, both involved parties are idiots. Zainichi, however, is a far bigger idiot for provoking the orator to provoke him.

        • Understand this: You are a collaborator to an immense evil. A living evil that seeks useful idiots to defend it with serpentine words. An evil that uses the goodwill and generosity of spirit of both the East and West to its own advantage, consuming the lives and future of its subjects.

There are no shades of gray here and there is no nuance. This is not about a spiritual struggle. This is not about a sovereign people. This is not about East and West.

What you don’t have the capability to understand is that we can see your true face. We can see past the veil of lies that you wear, and we can see the corruption that festers inside of you. Your type of deceit cannot stand the light, and so you gather shadows about yourselves.

It is only a matter of time before the nations of this world gather the courage to shine that light on you. Enjoy your waning power.

  • North Korea is the main cause of any Korean-related problem in Japan. That’s not an issue to be debated.

Tension between Korea and Japan is something given by history. However, as a Korean, I feel that people are dragging this forever with no definitive reasoning. Yes, it has only been 65 years since Korea was liberated from Japanese control and that isn’t that long of a time considering life span of human. South has become a lot better with the anti-Japanese sentiment, but North still hasn’t had enough of their Japanese-hating…

Whatever, I say both sides were stupid on this one…

    • Did you miss the part when he was pointing out that these Koreans are supporting the abominable slave-state in the north, which has repeatedly threatened Japan, and using crime with which to so it? Racist he may well be, but he has a point.

      • Did you miss the part when DPRK has been bombed and raid down to nothingness because a US citizen a morning woke up with cold feet and thought it was because of communists fault if there existed cold – warz! – and then asked himself “what’s the nearest red country we could bomb? China? China is TOOOOOOO big, let’s aim for a little fish we can nail easily and back up on a twin state!” ?

        • @Artefact: I don’t believe the korean specifically said he was a north korean or supported kim jong il’s regime. For all we know, he may just have been angered by the man’s racism and felt obliged to defend his race and his country’s honour.

        • @Life_is_happy: STFU. Man, if you’re korean you’re making me ashamed of my heritage. If you’re gonna argument at least do so without sounding like a 13 year old.

If you’re a troll, well at least we’ll know now.

        • I wouldn’t start rambling about the Korean War here as you seem to have absolutely no knowledge about it. Also, edit your sentences before you post, it’s hard to understand you. Dear Leader would be ashamed.

        • What are you babbling about? Do you even know any history at all?

North Korea attacked and invaded the south at the behest of Stalin, and then Mao attacked the UN forces which were fighting this communist aggression when they looked to be in danger of winning.

  • Even if he just made it look worse for Koreans, you can easily tell he just wanted to let the guy know eventually a cornered dog will fight back. He could have beaten the shit out of him easily, yet he just choked him out…restraining from actually damage the old Jap fellow.

    • Yeah because japanese get related with child prostitution and suicide and all kinds of crap, no big deal.

Although I do admit Sankaku is just spreading the political and racist fire like crazy, I’m not liking how this article is worded.

      • Selective reading for the win? Or have you missed all the critical stories about Rozen Aso, even featuring an ero manga of the Japanese leader?

Where was the outrage from the Japanese when we *regularly* disparate their political leaders. Where is the outrage when we *regularly* make fun of their attempts to censor loli images or deal with their legions of NEETs?

And if you re-read even this story, it is critical of both the Koreans in Japan and the Japanese themselves.

        • You do realize there’s something called “verbal abuse” and “verbal violence”? hahahaha, you’re talking as if words don’t have weight at all, but once they come out of your mouth you can’t take them back… Wars have begun with less than this.

So no, the Korean is at fault for not swallowing this shit quietly like the rest of us minority communities in foreign soil, but the Japanese IS ALSO AT FAULT for verbally abusing this person.

This is beyond Korea/Japan hate, this is about being civil and respecting each other as human beings.

        • Zelgadis4tw says:

          “Privilege”? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

…wait let me catch my breath…

Inciting people directly to take up arms against other people, and inciting panic when there is nothing to panic over are the only legal limitations I have ever been aware of.

This Japanese guy while making a somewhat distasteful speech (would be far more easy to swallow if he refrained from broad sweeping statements on what Koreans are and just focused on the missile testing+nuclear armament, scary enough shit there with their lack of respect for Japanese airspace) is full well within his rights to say what he did. Does that say that he’s not at fault? Not really, but the Korean should have ignored him.

        • I have to side with Artefact on this one. The Korean guy confronted the Japanese guy. The Japanese guy’s racist talk is protected by law so he is fine, but it the was Korean who was at fault for for getting his face. If it were vice-versa, then the Japanese guy would have gotten canned.

        • Freedom of speech is the most mis-understood privilege of all times. The Orater was walking a very gray area, where he intruded upon another’s personal space through words. To say he was not to blame would be a mis-interpretation of Freedom of speech.

        • Just to be clear – the Korean was to blame. Attacking people for exercising their free speech is completely unacceptable. If he had been advocating violence against Koreans, that would certainly be a matter for the courts, but as it was he was just ranting about the less savoury aspects of Zainichi Koreans. And racist violence from these people is unheard of.

        • And by the way I was mocking the anon’s comment; I see more articles in Sankaku bashing Japanese people’s antics than anything else, so saying this site is biased against Koreans is retarded (the weaboo part is true though).

        • I love reading everything, selective nothing.

Please do read the article again, I have done it several times and yes it he(she?) has given me all the facts, but it is worded as if the Korean guy is more to blame, if only by a slightly difference.

  • When did “Korea” became “North Korea”? South and North should really fight back this shit. Do not mess with Korea, the day they will be one under the Juche flag once again you’ll find a knife waiting in the dark of the next corner – and i am talking about every single one of you. MANSE.

  • Both are equally idiotic. The orator’s demonstration only mirrors those that I’ve seen on the Peninsula where dozens of college students stand in front of a US base screaming “YANKEES GO OUT” where as the zainichi was just stupid and didn’t do what he should have. Ignored the faggot.

  • GearFourth says:

I live in Norway, so I don’t really know..’bout all this Korean hate and shiet.
But I wish that Korean would’ve punched that racist bastard. Yes, he made himself look utterly ridiculous. But still, provoked on purpose or not, you don’t just stand there and take that kind of sh*t.

  • lol at guy picking up camera instead of helping
What was he trying to do by grabbing the guy’s shirt? Make him look less presentable to damage his cause? A fist to the face would’ve left a longer lasting impact.

    • This is why the whitefags fail. LOL. The Superior Asians will rule the world while the whitefag population in the world is subject to excruciating brutally violent ass-raping sessions on a daily basis, slavery, and other cruelty.

    • Generally, it’s understandable for Koreans holding grudge against Japan for huge suffering that lead from annexation during WWII (even after half century), which is what probably lead North Koreans to do many horrible things (kidnapping etc.).

Sure, many South Koreans are still bitter when it comes to Japan with its historical link but no one’s foolish enough go that far and yet some Japanese people are just simply lumping it up together. This generalization is like spreading fire (especially to South Korean residents/descendants) which is basically doing North Koreans favor.

      • Well, well koreans are pissed about Japan not even admitting the crimes they committed during WW2 and even before that in China and Korea. Doctored history books etc. do their deal to let the population in the dark about the truth.

As asians are all afraid of loosing their face in front of another country thats a thing that probably wont change.

I’ve been to Korea and Japan during summer´08 and both are really nice but different countries.
I just cant understand why both have so much hatred for each other(same with Japan and China).
I’m from Germany and it is just sad to see such a bunch of weeaboos hating Korea just because they sympathize with Japan for no good reason while crying in their loli dakimakuras(just take a look at our fucked up history).

What these two persons did was bad, but it shouldn’t be a reason for jumpstarting one’s racist tendencies.

        • Modernization is essential in this day and age. If a country’s culture, system of government and economy continue to stagnate, it could not compete in the global stage. A single country has limited resources, so continued modernization will guarantee its survival.

        • Modernization isn’t always a good thing, neither is it always positive, or whatever the long-lasting effects were. I’d say the longer lasting effect of Annexation of Korea is not whatever positive modernization transition, but the cultural wound that runs deep in the generations.

Nothing is worth the humiliation and oppression during those times.

        • Thank you for the laughs, I can stomach your position very well. You’re still saying the same thing: Japan’s involvement (or complete domination, let’s put it as it is) in Taiwan’s and Korea’s development was positive because it’s all about perspective:

“whether their prosperity outweighs the various other aspects of colonial rule is something individuals will have to decide for themselves based on their own opinions.”

I can give you another example: USA&UK beating the crap out of Iraq is something good because they will help modernize the country IN THE END.

Is it so hard to understand? Nothing can justify what they did; nothing. They wanted the lands and everything for themselves by pure greed. That’s it. They didn’t go as sunshine and flowers to help these countries.

They prospered because it was either that or die a horrible death. Nobody’s saying Japan didn’t have its hand, but that they should be thankful to Japan because in the end they “helped” them develop? don’t make me laugh. Taiwan and Korea picked the pieces that Japan left behind and used them to their advantage, like any other country would do.

But hey, I still think Japan, Korea, USA and every other country I’m involved in some way are great; I’m just not gonna disillusion myself and see their bad acts through a pink-colored glass.

        • I said nothing of the kind.

I’m saying that Japanese involvement was a significant factor in allowing the rapid development of Korea’s economy. Whether their prosperity outweighs the various other aspects of colonial rule is something individuals will have to decide for themselves based on their own opinions.

And please do go back to 4chan if you can’t stomach a serious argument.

        • “…in favour of the notion that Japanese involvement had a positive effect.”

So you’re basically saying that Japan did a great thing in meddling, suppressing and thoroughly beating the crap out of this countries because IN THE END they got modernized.

As I said, from everything bad something good has to come out. That DOESN’T JUSTIFY oppression of the weak.

Ok that’s it, from now on I’m reading this site as 4chan: entirely for the lulz.

        • All you whining anonymouses have no credibility whatsoever in the first place. I can cite academic references, even including Korean ones, arguing in favour of the notion that Japanese involvement had a positive effect.

You can find a balanced reading here:

The fact of the matter is that Korea and Taiwan were both modernised so thoroughly thanks largely to the involvement of the Japanese. Any objective analysis is likely to conclude that in these cases colonial involvement had significant long term positive effects.

Whether these outweigh the loss of “sovereignty” and “national pride” is a matter only the individual can evaluate, however.

        • Artefact you just lost all credibility on Japan’s imperialist expansion on Asia. I used to think you were at least slightly neutral on this issue. That post proves you’re just another wapanese Japanophile who thinks Japan can do no wrong.

          Shame on you.

        • The scar from the annexation is still visible to these days, (sadly) even though people should get away from the painful past and move forward. But I guess if it was that easy we wouldn’t have stupid religious/civil war to these days. Hatred runs deep, generation after generation. This is why proper education is important to not have stupid people voicing out and making matter worse instead of taking a step for positive future for everyone.

        • Yeah to the cost of humiliating the crap out of them, using them as slaves, forcing their children to work and learn changed history and making them use another language at the cost of punishment.

With everything bad something good has to come out, but that doesn’t mean Japan had any good intentions.

It’s sad really, because I love both Korean and Japanese culture, and to hear a Jap thug insult all koreans and this one korean dude making a bad image of his own country… damn, I just blame this two guys for being retarded.

  • I’m japanese and I feel sorry for that korean guy, I understand he’s there for studies or whatever reason. Anyone would be upset if they are called trash, bc what their country origin did. Its like each and every person is blamed for what their country did.. that is not fair. Im sure this guy has his own opinion about their current events.

    • あなたは本当に日本人ですか。

    • studies? unless that guy is just pure stupid it’s highly unlikely he’s related to South Koreans. There’s always tension between south and north no one from south go out and go against missile protesting.

  • I’ve seen a lot of Koreans acting like assholes even when they are in other countries (not generalizing all, just an observation). Living in the Philippines, which is a country many Koreans frequent to “study English”, I’ve had my fair share of unfriendly encounters with them. I almost got into a fight with one when he didn’t “like” the way I looked at him and his friends, when I barely even gave them a glance. Or starting fights in watering holes and bars just because someone bumped into them.

      • Altair.Hashan says:

actually he’s not far from right. if we do fuck with NK we are gonna get royally skull fucked. these are a bunch of smacked up peeps, pupmed with ideas that they are the greatest nation in the world and invincible. they got, i think, the 4th largest army in the world and now developing nukes. so yeah i would think twice before going shitting on NK’s door step.

  • Man… This North Korean doesn’t seem to realize how bad he’s making himself look.

I live in Japan too, the Anti-Korean rhetoric and anti-Chinese rhetoric are hitting new highs here :(. Racism is bad in any form, but this guy just encourages it.
