Nope, thats the actual problem. To me, china doesn't educate it's citizen that every living being is very important. If the government can treat human like disposable ressource, then why not that child? So seems to me the thinking.

That boy obvious had some shocking trouble recently (maybe such as being bullied, parents not doing their job right, extreme peer pressure), thus decided on killing them for the money. It can also mean his moral part of his brian (I forgot what's it called) is smaller than normal, thus having difficulty understanding morals.

It's obviously a case of mental disorder, nothing to do with teaching or morals. I am putting my money on the "some recent shocking trouble" event which caused this case.

Man you guys are sick. While I feel terrible for the two kids that died executing another kid isn't going to solve anything. How do you guys know he was born this way? There have been a number of cases where the murderer himself/herself was savagely abused as a child. This is a failing of society at large. What the hell is wrong with you people.

There are also a number of cases where people who are savagely abused as you put it do not do something like shank children for an iPod.

It would be one thing if he killed to survive, but he did it for a music player. And again, children. He deserves whatever he gets, even if he is mentally insane, China at large doesn't have the capacity nor the competency to accommodate his crazy ass.

Your assuming that the murders all stemmed from his greed in wanting an mp3 player. Dig deeper and you'll probably find many other issues, be it abuse or some genetic disorder. Not to say that I sympathize but motive has little to do with his mental stability or capacity.

yeah, but braille doesn't help mental blindness, or ignorance. No one is born with the brain to do stuff like that. An eye for an eye is for the lazy man, and it wouldn't be as fulfilling as learning from the problem and rectifying to stop or lessen the chances of future incarnations that would otherwise be inevitable. I don't mean to be a downer, but history proves there will undoubtedly be more kids like this and more deaths like this in the future. In fact, the bar seems to get lower with each story like this I read here.
