You are putting far too much punishment into the act of cheating. Cheating in and of itself is harmless, it is an entirely society imposed moral violation, rather than something like murder, that while also being society imposed, is very obviously harmful.

You have to actually understand that, to a man, this is quite high up there on the torture scale. To put it into perspective, if I ever had to make the fucked up choice of losing a limb, or my cock, I'd kindly ask them to have mercy and take my left arm. The only way this is possibly justifiable is if the woman who did this had such a strong emotional and physical attraction to him that she can barely function without him being with her, which I highly doubt is the case.
