A man fathered 11 children with his daughter over several decades, starting when she was 9, but denies incest, saying she was actually adopted and therefore not a blood relation. He apparently kept her imprisoned, but denies rape, saying that the pair had a loving relationship.
Arcedio Alvarez (59), now vilified by the Colombian media as the “monster of Mariquita”, and so hated by the populace that an army escort to court was felt necessary, apparently started a family with his daughter (now in her thirties) which resulted in 11 children, having started having sex with her when she was 9.
Alvarez seemingly does not deny starting a family with his alleged daughter, but does deny she was a full daughter to him:
“We agreed to have a romantic relationship because we really loved each other. But she was not my own child.”
He was said to have adopted his daughter at the age of 5, after her mother died.
Just whether this will affect any of the criminal charges he faces has not been established.
His daughter has this to say:
“I always respected him as my father and he is my father. He never spoke about [incest], about why we were doing it. Sometimes I would ask him and he would say it was God’s will.”
She claims she was repeatedly violated, resulting in 11 children, three of whom did not survive.
The women and her children have been taken into care by the state.

It is not clear just what the circumstances are behind this falling out of father and daughter, or why she did not report him earlier.

Well, the imprisoning of the child I have a problem with.... the sex in itself, I don't.

As long as a male and a female are both sexually mature, sex between them is natural (occures a lot in nature and seems to be nature's will). In terms of biology, youth is very preferrable, as you probably know.

A simple DNA test would have revealed the truth...I am not sure if they have the technology for it though...

this is clearly telling us that evil deeds are in rampant carrer to futfill it's intensions, not only in colombia, but in the entirely globe.
Since i am from colombia i cant tell that all this madness is in deed a reallity, but not as sophisticated as othes countries like japan, so crimes here are commited in more raw state than in any other country.
But we have the techcology for identyfing responsabilities via ADN, in fact police here are even more prepares to combat those crimes because we have 40 years of fighting experience into our own conflicts.
So colombia is a good country and all those bad news are not a much, as the good thing my country has to offer.

Whether they were genetically related as father and daughtor or not is not relevant. It is about taking advantge of someone that you are trying to raise in that special non-sexual parent-child bond.
