The source goes so far as to offer the date for the airing of the show as being July.
The particular board this rumour emanates from is apparently inhabited by at least one industry insider, whose numerous leaks have mostly proven correct. Thus observers are happy to consider the probability of this rumour being true to be quite high.

I’d call it FAKE.
They have Bakemonogatari in July, which can’t be failed since the project itself is a certain raiser for a bigger Kodansha-Aniplex project. Failing this will only worsen Shaft’s relationship with Aniplex, thus killing their second-most (and potentially the most) profitable anime series: Hidamari Sketch.
If they have some brains, they won’t take the risk. Or maybe they will, but outsource all the damn episodes.
Now we need a report on Maria†Holic. You’d have a feeling of Zetsubou while watching it due to Shaft.
I haven’t even finished watching the 1st season yet. 🙁
