The Xbox 360 dominates the Japanese market in terms of user satisfaction, if the results of a recent survey conducted by Famitsu are to be believed:

It should of course be noted that the Xbox seems to have attracted certain types of gamer more strongly than others (for example, those interested in western games or Idolmaster), although it’s not clear whether this situation has persisted.
There is also some suggestion that Japanese users of the console are overwhelmingly male.
Also, the sales figures speak for themselves:

I have no problem believing it.
Reliability has been getting better.
It's easy to hack and most games are multi-platform.

For the PS3 i pretty much only have the exclusive games, and the games that i truly want to play online, therefore its not difficult at all to be and stay legit.
Not even the recent new of "jailbreaking" the PS3 have drawn much attention from me.
And for the PC, i'm very proud to say that some 99% of my games are legit.
the only ones that aren't are rather old games that i love but are very difficult to find on sale.
I truly care for this platform and do my best to support it.
On the PC, more than any other platform, i am a Jedi.
Microsoft on the other hand can eat shit and die for all i care.

Seeing as how it's got the best gaming library i don't think it's much of a surprise, although the Ps3 is starting to catch up now.
The Wii has some epic games, but most of the third party developers still can't seem to get off their arse and make some decent games for it instead of porting old crappy ones with Wiimote functions...
Or making ones without any redeeming content whatsoever and are presumably well-deserving of the title "shovelware", though most do seem to be Western games for Western audiences.
Yay for PSP that ranks 2nd in both charts...

Thanks in part to Shoko-tan, big name JRPGs going to the system exclusively or timed, and other misc. games such as Idolmaster or Ace combat that saw the light on the 360 but have yet to be on the PS3.
Sales figures tell much. And besides, who can believe in Famitsu anyways? They have strange review scores, and their reviews are often times hard to swallow. They'll give some games high scores 37+ / 40 which score like 65% when reviewed by other editors, while some games scored low by Famitsu 26-30ish / 40 are given much praise and love by others.
They're really a mixed bag.
Perhaps this is because Famitsu's ratings aren't actually based on how much money the developer or publisher has plied the reviewer with, as often seems to be the case.
I'm also curious about what their sample size was for the survey and the demographic they chose. Without that info, I'm going to say this is going to serve as huge flamebait for the Sony/MS console worshippers on those gaming forums/websites.
