Minami-ke fans continue to cast a critical eye over the production of Minami-ke Okaeri. This time it is Chiaki who comes under scrutiny; above you see her character design across 12 episodes of the series compared.
The differences in (normal) character designs between episodes seem rather pronounced. Perhaps too pronounced? Some subtle variation is normal, but some of what is seen here hardly seems subtle.

Overview picture looks scary as a thumbnail.. like her cheeks collapsed due to a lack of nourishment.
This is the first series that with every episode makes me wonder if I should even bother watching the next.. quality is just so awful

yeah she looks a bit too much like Taiga in the second picture, and her "hairleaf" is kinda missing...
i noticed that too.. the art really inconsistent..
6 is the best, 9 is the worst for me :D

kana is still awesome, even with bad quality.
it's almost as if the animators sometimes forgot they were drawing chiaki and started drawing haruka.
The funny thing is, they somehow get paid to do this.
Man I wish I got paid to fail XD

If you can call it getting paid. Unskilled animators / in-betweeners usually don't get much.
Meh, I don't care as much for the quality of the art as long as its entertaining, and so far its succeding in entertaining me a lot (all of the seasons).
If it was sucky art + sucky episodes, then I'd complain.

Loli...Same voice actor...that sums it up for me.
The only decent thing is that they are at least using the manga for the stories. The doujin anime that came out called okawari was phail in that it had QUALITY and fail stories.
