I'm using a Quad core 2.4 ghz with 4gb ram and ATI 4870 (512mb DDR3) coupled with a 10 mb/s dsl account... and I too can't receive any of the nico posts.... I think it may be an ISP-related problem... either my ISP is blocking nico or the other way around.
