Not a bad idea for a header/banner although it's probably a little too tall. Could use some refinement if it were to be used as a professional-lookin' header graphic imo though.

As anonymous bluntly/crudely stated, it looks like fairly generic faux-anime, certainly not bad, but not great-- like low-tier jap art or mid-tier weeaboo art.

Now would some of you experts mind sharing with me the insight why this is typical faux-anime/weeaboo art? I certainly know what you mean by that, having seen my fair share of eye-cancer inducing western fanart and pseudo-anime illustrations. But seriously, aside from the shading, which might be a bit on the flat side, I don't see anything that would give this one away as not being Japanese (as if this would be a bad thing). I do know the artist is from New-Zealand, because his (her?) dA profile says so, but apart from that...
