A T-shirt inscribed with the image of the famed Key visual novel Little Buster‘s male protagonist Riki Naoe was sold earlier today on Yahoo Auctions Japan for ¥2,001,000.
This comes soon after the recent auction of another Little Busters T-shirt of Yuiko Kurugaya selling for ¥1,300,000, which was also a prize from the KEY 10th Memorial Fest event.
The T-shirt’s illustration is penned by Key artist Na-Ga and bears her signature.
Na-Ga may not be as well known as Key’s other main artist, Itaru Hinoue (who drew the design for the Yuki T-shirt) since she has mostly worked on backround art for past Key games such as Air, Kanon and Clannad, but was responsible along with Hinoue for the character designs in Little Busters.
This auction received considerably more bids than the earlier T-shirt by Hinoue, but only spiked dramatically in bid amount during the closing 20 hours of the auction where two bidders that had been competing at around the ¥200,000 level suddenly raised their bids to sky-high amounts, with the winning bidder winning the auction by a mere ¥1,000.
There seems to have been an even higher ¥2,300,000 bid at one point, but it looks to have been withdrawn.
The Yahoo Auctions page is still accessible, if you wish to take a look.
Anime goods certainly are getting expensive nowadays!
lol. There’s a link to this page on Na-Ga’s wikipedia page. 😀

interesting bid history..
I must admit, that is a rather cute shota.
That is just epic x2.
So I’m guessing there will be more T-Shirts for auction then?
