It's out early April, just forget about it and watch better animu until then, and when it airs, still do not watch it. There will undoubtedly be a few hardcore retards who watch it, and will post all over the interwebs if it's a second season or not.

I haven't been following these shenanigans too closely, so I'm not actually aware if said website exists, but perhaps that's something for rabid fans to go scrutinize?

The wicked minds of Kadokawa forced Aya Hirano to redo their rol of Haruhi together with the other seiyuus for the old series.
It is the original series of Haruhi but with a new seiyuu work.

My hypothesis is that the worse you treat your fans, the more hardcore they become.
At this point, I think Haruhi fans would still think a 2nd season was coming if Kadokawa raped them and then defiled their mother's graves, and then the apocalypse came.
