The blog of a well-known Good Smile Company employee has been updated with a surprise announcement of a new Hatsune Miku figure, based on a massively popular Nico video (shown below), very much like the excellent Black★Rock Shooter.
No information other than this lone picture is given, but it is enough to give Miku fans yet another reason to celebrate.
The announcement is on Mika-tan’s blog, a frequently updated blog that is an excellent source of GSC related news, as we’ve seen before.
The text accompanying the post reads thusly:
From Good Smile Company, 1/8 Scale Figure
“World is Mine”
Grand Announcement!!! Σ(゚∀゚*)
For those unfamiliar with the illustration, the Nico video is highly recommended:
This song frequently appears on personal lists of favorite Miku songs, including my own.
More coverage of this lovely new figure will be given here as soon as it becomes available.

Amazing figure. I imagine it'll be sold out before I even hear it's up for order, though...
That's very unlikely. It's not a limited edition item and it's also being made by GSC. You'll at least be able to pre-order the sucker if it were to sell out.
waiting for MELT's version lol
I just hope that the original artist receives some money...
Seconded.
OMG... BRS would be like one of the last figures I would get, 'cause my room's to small for every figure...
But I so need this one too...
Look at her eyes! So evil, so sexy.
Poor, poor wallet... *sighs*
HOLY FUK!!!
must save and GET this!!!
EFF YOU GOODSMILE! stop raping mai wallet TAT

What is the name of this song? It sounds really nice.
Awesome. I love redjuice's illustrations and it's pretty nifty to see it in well constructed figurine form.
Here's his deviant art for those of you who are interested:

my fav song, this figure i must have
anyone haf the mp3? :S
^nvm i got it.. lol

I got the album. =P
I wonder why there is no "01" marking on her left arm. Is this another spin-off like BRS?
Probably just forgot.
Lol damn, now I wanna get this too ><"...
I am the only one that thinks Hatsune Miku sounds bad? It sounds so robotic and no feeling is conveyed in the voice. This isn't to say these aren't well done, since it is indeed a mechanically generated voice.
You're not the only one. I just can't get used to Vocaloids, they all sound so annoyingly robotic and empty. Luka is the first one that I can somewhat stand.
The problem isn't so much the voice itself as the person "playing" it. It's like any other instrument, a pro can make a bad instrument sound good, but an amateur sounds bad even on a top-class instrument. Most of the Vocaloid work I've heard is frankly terrible - even the ones that top the charts. About the only one that comes close to matching the inflections of a real human voice is "Nebula" by Tripshots.
It's not like I dislike it, but I like that Toradora ver. a while ago better
Her voice sounds like rodent squealing to me. But I love her character design. And some songs don't sound that bad. Like that robot one posted some time ago.
I don't like her voice, but in some songs she sounds very well, I like The Dissapereace of Hatsune Miku, World Is Mine and Black Rock Shooter... But just those ones... Levan Polka and Love Is war make my ears bleed :S
Nah you're not the only one.
I hadn't even heard of the song until now. But in my defense, there are just so goddamn many! (Not that I mind.)
It is notable that both this song and BRS is by ryö. Seems like he have made a nice deal with GCS, should we perhaps hope for more figures based on the illustrations from his songs?
I forgot to mention that this song is my absolute favorite Miku song.
Also, when I saw this figure I actually thought "DO WANT". Despite being Swedish. xD
its everyones favorite......DAMN you said alot
I NEED this figure.
seconded.... miku<3
Yes sir! Another MUST HAVE.
mmmmm... Really nice.
Nice.. I wonder if it is a cast off o_o;
Fuck shat I would jump on that.
The guy who did those images have a dA occount http://redjuice999.deviantart.com/ :D
I love and hate you at the same time, GSC.
Miku's a real HUUUUUUUGE cash cow, is't she? *roll eyes*
Maybe these two figures are to celebrate ryo's CD debut ^^
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~~
I think I'll get this one also.
Im not a Miku Miku fan or anything but when I saw this figure, I thought to myself that I must have it.
