It's similar, but it's definitely not traced. If it were, the art might actually be good.

That's the largest number of male characters I've ever seen in a school bishoujo game.

After staring at these pictures I think the perspective might be wrong. I'm no draw/art-fag so I could be super wrong. (I meant draw-fag/art-fag in the best possible way because I like pretty things, promise. :3)
The banister in the second picture looks like it starts really high then when it gets to the top of the stairs it's kinda low. Then again, it looks like those stairs go pretty deep. If that's the case, then the guy in green pants must be pretty drat tall, then.

People on stairs. Not even the same type of stairs or railings. Kinda a stretch here. Windows are commonly in stairways, or they turn into darkly lit real life ero games.

The guy in the two first CG game images looks sort of like how you would expect a child to look when pulling a prank.
Anyone else now inclined to search for the synopsis, out of sheer curiousity?

The first step is as higher than the knee of the male character on the left. And the guy on the right seems to stand on the edge of the step.

They fail at proportion, perspective and shading (some characters looks like they were floating).

They are similar, but doesn't look like traced, just the stairs are similar.

It may not be traced, but I'm sure the influence is there. It's kinda like how you get all these ads that copy the ipod style. Or how you had ads that went: "Got " after the "Got Milk?" campaign.

Having some association going is usually better for an unknown brand compared to none at all.

MORONS, the poster for the new Eva movie is basically the same as the poster for EVANGELION 1.0, which was released in 2007, therefore this hentai game is COPYING EVA, not the other way around.

Fuck.

Higher-resolution versions of these images on the channel might be useful for comparison purposes.

Also the CG looks like crap, reminds me of mid-90's.

Looks more like an homage or parody than a trace to my untrained eyes.

Ok Artefact,this one has bugged me for a while:

Saying something is/has "quality" means it IS good.
If you want to express that something is bad and use "quality" ironically you type it in caps i.e. "QUALITY"

One has to remember also that most schools have the same architecture and therefore the same type of stairs, so finding the same type of stairs in two images in a school setting isn't weird. However, of course, the fact some characters have the same poses at the same places on those stairs makes it clear there was at least some influence.

Does the guy in the first sample remind anybody else of the title character from the Kunio-kun games?

Oh, I see. So if NGE uses a staircase for the DVD picture nobody is allowed to use staircases anymore? grow up people NGE didn't invent the staircase so it's pointless to say someone copied it. I'm sure NGE copied it from some other anime (or from, I don't know...reality?).
