The belly joint can look odd in certain poses. My Miku and Lucky Star Figma do not share this problem, so it might be a result of the small changes Max Factory has been making to their Figma releases recently.

That is one figure I would hold down and go at it with.
No thanks if they're going to make Konata in Nagato's Witch costume or Tsukasa in Jumper figmas. They better start making figmas of Misao and Hiyorin sooner instead.
Urgh, if only they hadn't made that extra joint near the stomach. Good thing the earlier figma didn't have that problem..... ^_^
So what does the belly joint does? Let the character bend from side to side? Could have just made it less obvious if the joint was near the waist/buttocks than the belly......
This Figma has quite a few style changes to older ones, so I can't be certain...
Past ones have not been able to bend, so my calling it a joint might be slightly confusing, but it seemed like a good description.
Besides the stomach join they look less apparent then usual to me, which is a good thing. And that expression is just wicked

just as i thought... the stomach area is kinda big... is that normal for a figma figure?
No.
Look at the Figma tag for examples of what that area usually looks like.
The hairpiece has a rather visible seam running from side to side.
You yank on the front of the hair and it comes off, and the squared-off top of the face piece becomes accessible, you tug on that a bit and the face falls off.
Under the face is a sort of socket the face pieces fit easily into.

how do they replace the face? is it by taking of the whole head or by removing the face from the head?
