A very appetising cut of finest Indonesian tuna, or maguro, going for the bargain price of ¥100.
We could be forgiven for wondering why… It does at least appear to be intended for oblivion in a soup or similar, rather than being used in a specific recipe, though we must wonder about this too.
When i was a kid i’ve been on holiday at my aunts house, and her husband worked at butchery nearby. One day he brought hope a whole-fucking-bag of blood covered ox testicles..
At first i was really freaking out, like eww gross, i’ll never eat that crap !
But aunt just laughed and cooked them, they were DELICIOUS. Seriously, better than tongue or meat or any other part.
maybe japanese can have it raw
Ohhh its the eye ehhhyyy …
Don’t you know according to the experts in medicines that the eye of the tuna consisting a large amount of good nutrients. a nutrients not for the body but nutrients for the brain, according to one survey in japan most intellectual people, politicians, scientists, and even top students came from one province NOT MENTIONED then they went to that province and most people there are fisherman they mostly catch tuna. a man was interviewed how they spend their everyday living and suddenly the interviewed man mentioned something about they are feeding their children eyes of the tuna and since they were young it already a tradition for them to eat eyes of the tuna…
thats why when i was in junior high my father use to feed me that eye… but too bad i hate it specially the taste i just sip 1 bowl of soup >_<
That eye reminds me of an experiment we did in middle school. Of course, it was just an excuse to see a cow’s eye melt when smothered in acid…
speaking of cow’s eyes…I’ve (almost) seen one slaughtered/dissected when I was in middle school…gross…oTL
Tuna eyeballs are said to help improve memory. Problem is, you remember you’ve eaten tuna eyeballs.
