Star Ocean 4’s Eroge Status Confirmed

Once again i say so long as this content remains in the english version i dont mind being served a dub, but i fear greatly that it will get heavily sanitized for US audiences who arnt allowed to see(read: enjoy) such things that are considered blasphemous.

I was really looking forward to this game and expecting a japanese voices option. God damnit. Maybe I'll mod my 360 and wait to see, if the one who put japanese voices on the US version of the Persona games, will do the same to this.

An English dub is (for the most part) as good as its voices... unfortunately, a large majority of them tend to suck. Badly.

you all are really looking too hard. that is not pussy lips, as they'd be more centered. that's just skin from tight clothing. kinda like, if you put something tight on, a shirt or something on flab, it creates ROLLS AND MUFFIN TOPS. that's how skin works. at best, that would be a failure of a cameltoe. seeing as it starts allll the way at the end....perverts. stop trying to ruin my game. >o

Ok the truth to the matter is whats done is done making this USA version of Star Ocean 4 English Dub only was a mistake and not only that the anime to CG was also a mistake when all the other star ocean's were Anime hand drawn style you can't simply change it because of region, if anything include a option to pick which one you want, it really annoys me to see CG to be honest, CG is lazy mans creation when computers do all the calculations nowadays.

What's done is done "but" on xbox360 a live update and or download content can fix this all, the patch would require some few mb is all its just small pics of data to give you option of CG to Anime style and for the dub Jap version addon choice would make every single Xbox 360 owner proud and happy I guarantee after all a choice is the best is this not what you want?

reply to this if you want to see downloadable content to include Anime portraits and status screens etc.. and Jap audio voices during all scenes and battles. You never know if they will include this just for thanking the people that bought this as downloadable content even if it costs money I WOULD pay any price for this so would many others.

I didn't play this game as much as i did because i don't like CG pictures in game and I dont like English voices because most of the time they suck, and the main hero's voice sucks in USA version the girl was not that bad but if whoever is responsible for this please have download content to include choice of what you like Jap dub and Anime style, the CG its only good for movies.

Well, eroge aspirations aside, since you brought up the whole "purging of the anime look" thing again (which for this game was pretty minor anyway), a true story. Was shopping for console games with my sister the other day, who is a fan of mainstream JRPGs, has watched plenty of anime, and so on. As we were looking at the selection of XBOX 360 RPG games available for purchase, she flat out refused to even look at any game that had anime designs on the cover. Reason? Because it might have "cartoony graphics". And, possibly not coincidentally, she does watch anime, but won't watch anything subtitled either. Obviously it's completely anecdotal, but it just reminded me that there are people out there for whom the "anime look" is a big turn-off in video games. I still say that, this obviously anime-biased community aside, they may be onto something on that front. Not trying to say it's a good thing or anything (or that I personally agree).

Eroge eroge... whats so bad about children looking at some little attempts to bring sexual excitment in the game. Whats wrong with children fapping to porn? Hell, if I'm gonna have a children, I'm gonna tell him outright where are the kids come froms AS SOON as he asks.

I don't get whats the point of excluding the Japanese audio when it comes to these games. Isn't most of the targeted market the people who would want the Japanese dub? I would seem reasonable to just bypass the option of english dubbing, thus saving money and time to get the game out.
I'll probably get Star Ocean, but the worst case scenario of something like this Persona! All great voice actors in Japan, but completely excluded in the American version. WHY? American video game RPG decisions cease to amaze me with common sense...

Provided we have a modded xbox or a Japanese xbox anyways. I really want to get the Japanese version, but I don't think my xbox can play it without modding.

Ever since Lost Odyssey they've stopped including the japanese dub, I really wish they would start including it in future games like FFXIII.
