Quality series A Certain Magical Index has just received its new 2nd ED in episode 20, shown below in high-def quality.
Toradora! also began using a new ED a couple of episodes ago, which is also presented below to keep continuity with our previous Index & Toradora! OPs post.
A Certain Magical Index 2nd ED
[誓い言 〜スコシだけもう一度〜] (Oath~Just a little bit once more~), by IKU
IKU is the same singer from the 1st ED, Rimless ~Fuchinashi no Sekai~ (she apparently loves using ‘~’ in her song titles), so it should sound somewhat familiar.
Toradora! 2nd ED
[オレンジ] (Orange), by Rie Kugiyama, Yui Horie, Eri Kitamura (Taiga, Minori, Ami)
The seiyuu for Taiga, Minori and Ami perform this song, just as with the 1st OP, Pre-Parade.
Both EDs show symptoms of being 2nd ED sequences (which usually receive less attention to quality than the original), although this is perhaps more noticeable in the Toradora! ED.
Personally, I prefer both the animation and music to the series’ 1st EDs, even though I do enjoy both of the new songs also.
The Index ED does still possess high animation quality as the 1st ED did (although not up to the level of Index‘s praying / running scenes), showing again that this is one of those newer shows whose Blu-ray releases are decidedly a must for the hardened fan.

You sure do publish alot of updates on this series, even for a meager thing such as a new ending theme. Are they paying Sankaku complex money for this publicity or something?
It was entirely 2ch's attention to this (and the earlier Toradora! one) that prompted my making this. Otherwise, the thought wouldnt've come to mind.
I didnt really like the first ending for index but i enjoy this one until the end, cause it just kinda dies...not in a good way :p
eh .. omg ...
lets compare now toradora
series: funny, crazy, cute, lil romantik
1st opening indicates: funny, crazy, cute, lil romantik
2nd opening indicates: cooking?
wtf
+ the music of the 1st was just awesome ....
You're mistaking the ED and OP.
This is the new ED sequence, not OP. The 1st ED was with the umbrella spinning / chibi-tiger molesting.
IKU seems promising. Especially after hearing "Ko no me Kaze" from Hayate no Gotoku. =3
Squiggly is good ~~~~~~
anyone knows whats the full name for IKU ?i've been trying to download her songs but her name is too general and cant get much results on it ..
umm Can anyone tell me whens the Single Coming out?...
A few of those shots in there feel very VN-ish to me.
I feel bad for listening to this Song before listening to it in the actual ED scene. Had a feeling it would be Toradora or something similar's ending XD
I'm confused about the "quality" part myself though since I haven't seen this show yet, waiting on it to complete first. Is this good quality or shit quality we're talking here.
It's the proper meaning of the word.
AFAIK, the popularized re-interpretation is marked with capital letters to differentiate. If you see the word in upper case, that means shit quality.
Great quality.
I was afraid at first that it would just devolve into another shonen shit show, but I was happily surprised it didn't.
Anyway, even if it was just ok quality the only thing you're going to lose in watching it is some time and bandwith. Just try it.
My writing almosts always means quality to mean quality, since my soul hasn't become as black and sarcastic as Artefact's (yet!)
As for if I like the series or not, look at my avatar...
I don't know what you're talking about.
Says Artefact in a sarcastic tone...
QUALITY is always used in conjunction with bad or inconsisten animation, so I don't think this was something to be unsure about.
Ahh, so that's what I was missing. Good to know.
The recent use and intended misuse of "quality" confuses the hell out of me, although it's obvious which interpretation is intended here. I still need to read twice every sentence with "quality" in it, and think twice before I use the word myself.
I'm way behind on Index, need to do some catching up >_<
Generally, I use "quality" to mean, well, quality, and "QUALITY" to mean bad-quality.
the index ed intro sounds the like the swiffer quicker picker upper bounty.
Yay for new Ed's! I was gettin tired of the old Index Ed.
They should stop forcing this Touma x Index BS in the ED / OP
Not a bad ending, though I don't feel as emotional watching it, probably because of the lack of the adorable "grabbing and holding hands" bit as I shall call it.
