Clone abusing ninja Naruto has been spotted lending his support to Indonesia’s Prosperous Justice Party, or Partai Keadilan Sejahtera, an Islamist party supporting such backwards medievalist policies as bans on pornography, in what we can only consider as an episode which could damage his chances of becoming Hokage.
The party in question supports legislation such as the laughably titled “Bill Against Pornography and Pornoaction“, a bill which sought to ban such insidious evils as public kissing, bikinis and navel exposure (“pornoaction”), and of course pornography. The party itself claims it is against the imposition of Sharia codes, although it is doubtful anyone believes them.
In fact, a vague but complete ban on pornography was passed in 2008, with downloading lewd materials in Indonesia now carrying a possible 4 year sentence; a “sexually suggestive performance” can attract a 12-year sentence. Naturally, freedom loving Islamists were behind this.
It is not clear whether the image in question is an authorised use of Naruto’s likeness; it seems overwhelmingly unlikely to be the case. It also seems unlikely that Naruto presents a good match with the party’s unstated objectives of rendering the masses obedient slaves of God.

So I did a little research on that pornography law, it seems all those "pornoaction" parts were scheduled to be removed from the bill according to all the news articles I was able to find - way back in 2006. It seems non-Indonesian press coverage stopped soon thereafter. Apparently the law passed unchanged though. So what happens when tourists visit Indonesia to spend their vacation there? No western woman would abandon sunbathing in a bikini at the beach, would totally kill the purpose of the vacation obviously. I recall the provincial governor of Bali has even made a threat to declare independence from Indonesia should the bill pass? Also, what became of all the various folklore traditions, like the bamboo dance? There MUST have been some kind of uproar by the still quite numerous non-muslims right? Please enlighten me.

look guys, the situation is like this. the virus of democracy has been spreading like cancer in Indonesia, resulting in EXTREMELY HIGH spending for political ads. just like Hillary Clinton said, Indonesians are very cool eh, emulating the Americans to the core and isn't afraid of destroying their own native values (including Islam).
so, it's about time for elections now. everyone want a seat for their own arse in the parliament (or whatever it's called). they dump their money on the advertising guys, and they want to see their face everywhere public. sometimes they dont even bother checking the quality of the ads personally, which results in (amongst other) someone from largely-Islamic party "use" something like Naruto (which goes against the Islamic law A LOT, i can go on and on about this) for his campaign (see the above pic).
PKS probably can't be blamed. these days, the politicians are out of control in the name of democracy, and even a party can't strictly guide each one of their candidates about what are acceptable, and what are not. this has resulted in a lot of scandals, but for my end this has caused A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF VISUAL EXCRETES IN PUBLIC SPACE. the one you saw above is just one of them-- and believe it or not, it's a lot less bizarre compared to others. all in the name of democracy. some of them are OUTRIGHT LIES. at least this man doesn't say "Naruto support Islam".
