Well, being able to watch the videos embedded doesn't enable you to post comments on them. Besides, most of the English comments I noticed could have very well been made by Japanese viewers - but apparently, some have already been removed (this never struck me as common practice on Nico)? That would indeed hint at gaijin trolls.

I'll admit that I am a bit concerned about the increased amount of westerners Nico is getting exposed to lately (not only through Sankaku). Japanese otaku are already xenophobic enough for my tastes, so this is like throwing fuel on the fire. Will be interesting to see what happens when Natsuno/Nishimura open up Nico to the rest of the world later this year...
