Schoolgirls Compete in Shota Hunts to Claim Youngest Boys

Reports suggest a new craze is sweeping high schools and universities, with girl students embarking on an unusual hunt for young boys, in order to see who can have sex with the youngest.
The competitions, said by local newspapers in Thailand’s Phitsanulok province to be spreading through the educational establishments of the region, are to secure the youngest male in a sexual encounter, and of course to provide proof of it.
Thus schoolgirls and students are said to be filming their trysts with the boys; a witness to the trend even claims that two boys who had been used so actually had the films and were sharing them amongst their own friends.
We do not hear what their victims actually think of their sporting encounters, although delight seems the most probable reaction, especially going by the rather optimistic photographs reproduced here.

Plus, it isn't like the article is implying that anyone hurt or tricked anyone. These sort of things are only ever likely to happen in big cities, where boys seem to be born with more knowledge about sex than the average MARRIED villager anyway...

I'm confused on this logic.
Vast amounts of tranny prostitutes at tourist locales hardly seem to imply that there is any significant number of traps among the high school and college demographic... While the first appear to be an industry catering to curious tourists, and an industry not exactly filled with the happiest and most upstanding members of society, the latter seem likely to be the rich & bored upper class (which, lacking any hardship in life, is constantly involved in antics like extremely dangerous sports, sexsports and/or risque fetishes, wild parties and party drugs, and any and every other way to get some adrenaline going).

Why not? It's happened just about everywhere where sex before marriage has become OK, just rarely if ever on such a major scale! Generally, it is more like several high school or college friends, or several bored housewives. Oh, and let's not forget the western world's 'bang the whale' bar sport, which relies on the same idea of competing at picking up the most generally uninteresting member of the opposite sex... Seeing how high school and college girls barely tolerate their peers and consistently aim for older guys, it's actually a difficult guess on who aims for the less appealing: Asian girls going for preteen boys or westerners guys gunning for the hideously obese?

Or are you talking about the risk of VD or something? Well, I don't think there's a single 20-yo Asian girl out there willing to risk getting preggo by a 12-yo kid, so I'm pretty sure condoms are a must enforced by the girls in that case. Which, btw, probably teach the boys much safer and more sensible sexual practices than the peer group (majority) or prostitutes (minority) they would normally be likely to start their sex lives with.
