The official website for the Lupin vs Conan TV special has launched, promising a clash between the “greatest thief of the century and the detective who can solve any crime”, to be produced under the collaboration of the series’ original creators Monkey Punch and Gosho Aoyama.
The TV special is set to air sometime in March as part of Nippon Television’s and Yomiuri Television’s 55th and 50th anniversary celebrations, respectively.
Precise details of the plot are unknown, and likely to remain so until the release of the TV special, but an airdate should become available later at the official website.

I voted for Conan as if it's my favorite anime. Considering that's it's a clash, Conan wont take him seriously since Lupin is always a joke. But it'll most likely be a tie like with Kaitou, and Lupin wont get what he came for. Or if Fujiko is there she'll end up stealing it. Idk I cant wait for it though.

Anyways, I expect a tie. The main issue I have, though, is how Conan's going to do any detective work- Lupin's not exactly subtle, and as with any of his work, it's never an issue of whether he did it or not. It's an issue with catching the blighter.
Or more specifically, keeping him in jail. Any interaction between Conan and Zenigata will be hillarious though.
I can't imagine this ending in anything other than a huge complicated stalemate that resolves nothing. Should be fun to watch in the meantime though.

But even if she doesn't, a tie is still assured. I'd like to see Lupin win and Conan lose as much as the next guy, but it just ain't gonna happen. Too many fans for both characters around.
I remember there was one episode during the Second TV series where Lupin was being chased by the 3 great detectives (one of them had the name 'Holmes') and ultimately surrendered to them on purpose. Though it was later revealed that Lupin's surrender was actually a deal he made with the detectives in order for them to retain their reputation in exchange for Lupin to escape freely and continue his capers shortly after he is captured. I can predict that this may be a similar case with Lupin and Conan when the two battle each other but in reality they were collaborating for a much bigger goal.
It is going to be retarded and have them both become friends or something, a definitive winner means one characters fanbase is going to rage for months.
It'll probably be like how Conan deals with Kaitou Kid. Kaitou Kid is never caught, but he also doesn't get the item he wants to steal.
He does most of the time, but he returns them since he's looking for one special diamond which he haven't found yet. But I guess it's still kinda a tie every time since Shinichi always manages interrupt Kid's original plans.
