    I'd watch Akikan if it looked anywhere close to these pictures. It doesn't, so I won't. The pictures however are nice. They're wallpaper worthy...I especially liked the third one.

    Ok, being fair, the animation in 3 and 4 wasn´t as "what the shit is this" as the first two. The plot still lacks a lot, but the animation is now "decent"

    ack! Am I the only one that actually supports this anime? Well...I do have to admit that the animation is b grade(which I personally don't mind) and the plot development does seem like a pathetic attempt at pushing production and hoping it goes well...BUT STILL!!....

    Meanwhile, in other news: I find it interesting that this article is RIGHT after the article about Sunrise and Lantis coming down hard on fanart, etc... Akikan was one of the ones mentioned...

    I think the poor animation actually makes it much better. This show obviously isn't meant to be taken seriously; why waste money on high production values when you can have funny, off-center eyes?

    Maybe there is something wrong with my eyes but I thought the animation was actually fine. It was only the first episode that was released during December that was just terrible. The one broadcast officially on TVs later was good. Is everyone watching the same thing I'm watching?

    The plot is pretty generic, sounds like it was ripped from Sekirei except in worse animation. (Didnt like Sekirei :|)

    At any rate I watch since I think the characters are pretty interesting.

    Worse fighting dynamics too, in that hitting someone doesn't knock off half their clothing like it did in Sekirei. Killer feature IMO.

    why? 2 diff. kind of cans fight off to become praised by people who drinks them...uhhh what?
    animation - 2/5(below good)
    why? self explanatory...watch before you judge per say..
    char.design - 3/5(ok)
    why? no reason...although some if not all characters do look Pretty generic...

    over all - 3/5(ok)
    they might improve on some aspects specially on the directing..doesn't matter if the animation is cheap as long as you know how to use them... like elfen lied for example(google it!)

    While I don't really know if it's trying to be stupid or not but I tend to stay away from anime like this. My friend showed it to me one time and I was like, why does this anime feel like it really wants to be an H-game or something? I find that a lot of anime do that for some reason.
