Classic bishoujo game Da Capo, a title at the heart of a sprawling web of adaptations and sequels, has received a full official English release, its first, which is available now.
The title, considered one of the major works of developer Circus, is being provided in English by MangaGamer. It is available digitally as of now, for €50.
You can read about the game at its English site, or head straight to the product page.
Fortunately, it seems MangaGamer have handled the unfortunate debacle surrounding their deficient early releases fairly well, issuing a variety of refunds and patches, and taking on the proofreaders (and we might hope translators) they would have done well to have retained from the start.
For it to have happened at all is hardly inspiring, but at least they learnt their lesson quickly and responded reasonably.
With some big, if old, brands now in their custody, a relapse seems unlikely. Let us hope they will be able to catch up to some later releases…
Please dont fail D:
It's a visual novel.
In English.
I can't see this release selling well.
Why not? While not many know of visual novels, eroge versions eg: yume miru sold quite well
anime itself isn't that big of a hit in states... these kind of games are sure to be overlooked >.>....
It should be pointed out that this isn't being released in the states...
I did some of the proof reading for this, so im glad its finally out! Its the second game project ive worked on that's been released! :) hope any of you who play it notice the difference XD
w00t, I'm actuality excited that it is being released in the states
Too bad it's not Plus Communication.
Aye, I would jump on this if it were D.C.P.S.
What? No eroge? j/k ^_^ Glad they got their act together and hope we see more releases (perhaps despite low sale numbers).
Sorry...being that it's only available from those idiots, there's no way in hell I'd spend any money on it. Shame it wasn't picked up by a more reputable company.
Wikipedos claim that this is the original version, but will it be uncensored???
Is there any difference between this release and the release on Christmas last year which they suddenly withdrew?
So can we asume that it will also be released in Europe? While i don't mind the digital version i would like to have it in my hands.
It's a global release and there is no physical version.
Darn, Oh well, it will be 60 euros well spend, Da capo is one of the more appreciated Visual Novel that I like
Meh want THEM!!
This release is quite good. Just because their prior products were bad does not mean you should avoid this.
All their games are uncensored.
Mangagamer only releases their product in digital form. They don't have plans to release a physical product. The products just don't sell well enough for them to take the added expense of having an inventory.
This release should be as good as other fan translations since fans did the editing and proofreading. If you want more of these games, stop complaining about their past and just buy it so the company will survive. They probably have the highest profile games out of all the ones released/to be released in English. It'd be a shame if they went away.
Is this the Adult version or the story only cut version?
Adult version.
And the translation is perfectly fine. Even if the game itself managed to annoy me with shortness of Mako route, that's by no means MangaGamer's fault.

€50 is a little too high if you ask me for this game. I could see it if it was something like School Days or Lovers.
But that's the version from December, that wasn't proofread yet.
school days? dats an uphill fight.
So I'll just leave this link here. Make sure you sign up if you're not a member.
(screenshots will do if you have a point to make)
Thx!
What is it?
Thread of fakku with MU links to the cracked beta version of the game from 25 december.
This is not appropriate.
MangaGamer, eh. I think they are also releasing one of Circus' other game, Suika. I have the sequel of sorts of that game, AR ~Forgotten Summer~. The stories have nothing to do with each other, but the special loli is in both of them.
I just realized that the picture's wrong. That's not Nemu, Kotori, and Miharu, BUT Yume, Koko, and Nanaka <_<
thei release is not good...spellings are wrong...
Looking at the mistakes in your own post you`re not justified to evaluate someone else`s grammar and spelling.
