Original is playing fine. But I get a black screen instead of video in the remake. Anyone has the same problem? I am using latest Firefox.

My attitude towards these type of videos (where you have a background song and insert soundfx and voices to mach the music) is very mixed.
It's a cool idea but most of the videos I've seen is IMO not very good at all.
Take as an example this Kanbu MAD video. It is nice and hysterical (as it should be) but many of the sounds made to match the music actually clashes with it (see 0:31).
The feeling is similar to viewing a movie dubbed to a different language without removing the original voices (which gives you a mix of the two dubs).
Since so many people seems to like this kind of video I wonder if I'm missing something. Maybe I'm just silly getting irritated over small details.
Am I the only one not liking this MAD?

(btw. I love Touhou and the music covers made by IOSYS. Since Touhou music and characters has become pretty common it would be great to see an article about them if it hasn't been made one yet)

Well seeing as you can upload high def video to youtube now, it's not -that- much worse then Nico.
I have yet to see 720p on Nico. However, the average video on youtube is still not as good (I'd like to think this has more to do with a userbase who knows less about how to properly edit and encode video).

Do you have a Nicovideo account?
Try it with Explorer and Opera. If neither of them work, then you have some sort of Security program installed (lol AVG, Norton?), and it's stripping the referer information. You'll have to tweak the settings in that case.
Otherwise, if it's just firefox not working, try opening a new tab, enter about:config (you'll get a warning) and search "referer". You'll see a value called network.httpSendReferer or something like that. Make sure it's set to "2" (not 0 or 1).
are you clicking the right thing? If you click the picture in the middle it sends you to nico nico but if you hit the smaller rectangle on the bottom with the play symbol beside it it loads the video
