Spectacular 2D vs 3D moe imagery in this fine work by S. Zenith Lee. It is especially interesting to see what slight liberties he has taken in rendering it into 2D.
Certainly one of the best efforts we have seen in this genre; let us hope for more.

The last time i commented on a 3d girl cosplaying haruhi suzumiya pic i said she was ugly.
But here i can say 3d wins in cuteness against 2d.
2d kinda failed to draw cuteness in my opinion

I voted for 3D but if the author decided for more moe-ification, I can see it going the other way pretty easily. The 3D girls are quite cute as they are.

2d just takes away from their adorable detail, you could stick any body on that 2d face and it'd look the same. Wheras 3d has individual beauty.

Agreed. I generally favour 2D due to the style omitting mild to major imperfections in the source, but in this case the drawn characterisations strike me as kind of generic.
Plus the originals are just impossibly cute this time. I realise it's totally subjective and not explicitly stated, not every decision poll is 'would you hit it?'.
