This impressive stop motion video, first appearing on Nico on Christmas Eve, uses Figma figures to recreate the lead cast of Haruhi dancing the series’ famous ending sequence, “Hare Hare Yukai”.

Nico.
The maker of the video says it took 5 months to complete, understandable when one thinks about just how much work a project like this could take…
He also shared some of his experiences of making the video:
Being shut in a dark room for so long, moving the figures around… it was a painful mental experience…
I kept hearing things like Haruhi’s voice yelling at me, “Hey! Pull yourself together!”…
He must truly be a devoted and loyal Haruhiist to have endured such an ordeal for 5 months. Hats off to him.
Dammit! I was planning on doing this when I finally got to buying the Yuki fig and stopped being too lazy to take on any project this scale. (Having no idea how to turn still images into video and adding sound be damned!) What an idea theif this guy is!
I really want to like it, honestly, but the jerkiness of the figmas (which I’m suspect that you can’t be rid of) would give me a headache if I tried to watch the entire thing. 🙁
Wooo for anime voices in our heads XD
Really devoted fan eh? The hand of Haruhi must’ve touched him in the process.
Wow…..
