A promotional ita-bus for the upcoming XBox 360 port of Chaos;Head has been seen in Akihabara, advertising the game with its bus sized ita-artwork and 15 full size TVs built into the sides of the bus all simultaneously playing a promo video for the game.
The bus made began making its appearance on the first day of Comiket 75, which must be an auspicious day for the likely otaku consumers of Visual Novels such as Chaos;Head.
The marketing stunt seems to be doing well, judging by the throngs of Akiba denizens crowded around it.
However, this is not the first time Chaos;Head has used such an unusual advertising tactic – some of you might remember the Chaos;Head Potato Chips promotion.
The game itself, Chaos;Head NOAH, will be the XBox 360 port of the original Chaos;Head PC game whose TV series recently concluded. It is scheduled for a February 26, 2009 release date.
The ita-bus in a past life, when it was being used to promote the Clannad Theatrical Movie.
You may also recall a similar tactic used in support of Platonic Heart…
For the curious, below is the promo video that was being shown on the ita-bus’ banks of TVs:

Chaos Head anime is crap, VN is pretty good.
If I had an Xbox and knew how to read japanese I'd totally get this, the original VN was really awesome. However, the anime paled in comparison. Although most plot related things were left in tact, the excecution was horrible.
So they used a new song then for the port.
Nice bus.
VN purists need to get over themselves.
That's an interesting way of marketing and promoting the game *thinks*
This is some of the extreme promotional tricks they use to attract customer :D
Watching chaos head made me feel like i was getting mind fucked...i wonder how it feels like to ride that bus :O
reminds me of the bus at c74 of platonic heart :D
like, it looks almost the same: black, with bunches of tv's
Best bus ever.
You should see the bang bus
The Anime just ended and it was awesome! However, I don't think I'll be getting into the Visual Novel as of yet...
Still have tons of unfinished Anime and currently playing F/S N.
"it was awesome"
No...just...no.
The show showed some promise in the first few episodes but it ended up just being terrible, especially the art. The VN, when compared to the show, seems godly and it's really good even on its own.
Oh and go back to youtube and stay there.
While you're at it learn2english faggot.
"it was awesome"
No it wasn't, lol. How could you stomach all that pseudo-scientific BS they were trying to sell to the audience?
I really liked the first couple of episodes, the series looked really promising: a delusional and completely hopeless protagonist, mystery, likable female characters etc.
Then the just ruined it by trying to explain everything. The "ZOMG deep" story backfired and the whole thing just seemed stupid.
Too bad, C;H could've been a really good series.
I haven't played the VN yet either.
I haven't heard much about it, as noise from the anime tends to drown out talk of the original game version on 2ch and the blogs I frequent for these sort of posts.
I tried it. and it was better than the anime where you are IN the story compared to watching it from the sideline.
I see pixel heads!
suuuwwweet way to advertise stuff. Hey, wonder what's INSIDE that bus of win...
lol'd at "DQN Puzzle" in the 'list' of 'suspicious events'
The anime was pretty good, although I think the VN was considerably better. Especially the bad ending =X
Does ita bus have an internal power generator for that bunch of tv? - this might just answer anon's question on first comment.
The anime follows the visual novel pretty well. There isn't that much difference between them. (Not saying there isn't, because I can think of a few instances where the plot deviated.)
But damn, I WANT THAT BUS!!!
I like the Itasha bus. That's a good way of an ad
