Megami Magazine, well known for being the source of many of the finest ero posters available, has revealed its 2008 female character popularity ranking in its latest issue.
These results are taken from the February 2008 issue of Megami Magazine:
Notes:
- The Monthly Aggregate ranking is determined by the combined points accumulated from all the monthly rankings for 2008.
- The December Poll was a special poll held in December where votes were cast directly for favorite overall character.

In case you’re wondering,the Megami editors themselves express surprise at the wildly differing results from the December Poll and the Monthly Aggregate.
The disparity can likely be explained by characters with shows airing in the second half of 2008 taking over the December poll, whereas the 2008 aggregate poll takes into account votes cast before the two most recent anime seasons were broadcast.

Nagisa is nice certainly but I would rather have some depth to their character.
Nagisa grows in the story but not compared to the others. Ryou grows more and she's a bad end.
I'm so sorry, I just can't approve the tsundere rankings. I don't find Louise and Taiga that good.

Anyone remember the Kaname Chidori and Eri Sawachika type tsunderes? Whatever happened to girls like those? Those were the tsunderes I fell in love with, not these loud petanko types
True. I remember the times when Soryuu Asuka type Tsundere was the best. Loud, brash, and yet they are confident, can hold their own. That's why IMO chars like Chidori, Eri, Tousaka Rin, Kallen, etc are better. Healthier as well :D.
For me these "new" loli type Tsunderes are more annoying than the ones that have dominated the anime worlds of yonder. They are too loud, uncertain, clumsy and too bitchy for words.
They were also real tsundere, who is Kagami dere for? Konata maybe, the spell to wake up in the OVA was sublime

I'm not incredibly familiar with Megami's voting system and I didn't have a spare issue lying nearby to consult.
These otaku magazine ballots are all pretty much inaccessible to gaijin, if that's what you're wondering about.
Ah! My Kona-chan is consistent no.5 on 2 Top 5. rankings! It moves me in tears.
I don't know what to say but I'm somewhat relieved that Kallen isn't in the tsundere top. She doesn't really belong there, it's not like she is in serious denial about her feelings, it was more that she didn't realize she had them for him.
I'm mader at the fact that she isn't in the Sexy ranking, O well at least C.C isn't in it as well :p
Her just being in the top 10 of the 2008 Overall Character Ranking (Monthly Aggregate) says enough as well IMO :p

Well what's weird was Konata is higher than Kagamin. Altho Kona-chan is famous, nobody can beat Kagamin in Raki Suta's ranking IIRC. She always won with a healthy lead. Which lead me think that this is more of an internal ranking than fan based one

Nice to see Shana rank high in the overall rankings, though I'm not too fond of her coming third for tsundere and even more so that it was pretty much a complete landslide.
Shana in my eyes is the best tsundere. A very nice balance of tsun and dere with both a fiery side and an extremely cute side.
Louise's brand of tsundere rarely appeased me. It was cute at times, but more often than not had me facepalming at the overall stupidity of it. I guess they just prefere the dere set to high in their tsunderes.
Taiga on the other hand, I do enjoy, but she doesn't make me go moe the way Shana does.
