Recently we’ve seen an extensive selection of cosplay from various European countries, of quite varying quality; now we are presented with a selection from a South East Asian nation, Malaysia.
The event in question is Comic Fiesta 2008, held at Petaling Jaya near Kuala Lumpur.
As you may have noticed, passing judgment on the efforts of cosplayers is not something I am keen to do (at least not in the capacity of publisher), and frankly in this case there seems to be a wide variety on offer, making it difficult to separate failplay from winplay…

Extra Malaysian/Singaporean cosplay not from the same event, but interesting all the same:
Compare to the cosplay coming from Finland, Germany and Italy, and of course Japan (not sure why the former Axis Powers are so well represented…).
I was there. And I was there last year (’09) too. There was a group of very impressive code geass cosplayers. In 2009, there was a ban on ‘pika’ vampires (aka Twilight).
omg. the second girl in the picture is my good friend o-o. the one dressed as honna onna ( i think ) from jigoku shoujo. O_O!
