Could Kento-kun here be not only the world’s youngest shota idol, but also the youngest ever? Previously it seemed that 6-year-old girls were about as young as the trade dealt with, and the youngest boy idols seemed to be about 9, but now it seems those with an interest in boys even younger are well served, as Kento-kun is but 4 years of age.
The copy advertising his DVD exhorts boy-idol fans to “return to the naivete of a child and enjoy virtual play with adorable Kento-kun”, which seems innocent enough…
We can only guess at the likely age and gender of the buyers for these DVDs (which, it must be emphasised, are very fringe products), but at least it seems these children are well handled and treated with restraint by fans?
It seems they do not/cannot get much younger than this, male or female.
