    How the hell does Gundam Seed have more doujins to it than Touhou does?

    I could understand if it was Gundam as a whole, but just Seed alone? Wow.

    To tell you the truth just fujoshi and mecha lover just from mecha design...

    And the only thing that makes this Gundam survive is the Hentaiable character....

    Too bad all the Hetalia doujins are of the gay variety, and Lacus and lunamaria saved Gundam hentai damnit, however the fujoshi levels are also quite over the top.

    It's an easy enough conclusion that ecchi attracts ecchi (TLR, Sekirei, ZnT, etc) ... but I think what you really mean on the second point is that titles that have a large female cast (which typically overlaps with romantic-centric) also have a large doujin base.

    For example, Bamboo Blade is ridiculously up there, which surprises and somewhat scares me. And typically harem-esque but not actually harem shows like Hayate no Gotoku feature heavily as well.

    I think you're mostly right, still, but the fact that Key titles are rather low can be attributed to the fact that they're 'crying games' or otherwise VNs with huge emphasis on story. Note that Type-Moon titles are low as well, and on a slightly different note but same concept, Higurashi.

    I believe ero-doujins usually fill in for the lust a person has for a character that could not be expressed in the original work (the ecchi that didn't go far enough, the harem that chose the wrong person, the innocuous show, etc), and so, if that lust is replaced by moe for a characters' personality or story, the chances of ero are less.

    Somewhat makes sense, but what we need a is a Hetalia doujin featuring Hungary being gangbanged by the other nations. She is the only one without decent promotions.

    maria-sama ga miteru is a series with almost pure female cast. but i guess yuri ero doujin is still something rarely appreciated. which is very sad if you think about all that bl created for fujoshi consumption.

    on the other hand, i'd be seriously disgusted over a non-yuri marimite doujin. the same goes for aria, which is somehow similar in nature.

    If you based your research on English translations on the internet, I bet you would be hard pressed to find even one non-ero title.

    I actually saw some nice, cute, totally innoffensive non-ero doujinshi translated to English once, but that was a commercial effort, and long ago.
