Whilst I hardly expect to see Tsutomu Nihei in the list, it is still an uninspiring sight in terms of the variety and quality of manga on offer (not that congratulations are not in order for titles enjoying such impressive popularity).
Doubtless a seinen (in both senses of the word) breakdown would be of interest too…
I expect everyone has their own favourite title they are disappointed to see forlorn?

Though there is a new anime due which is supposed to follow the manga properly.
FMA manga is different from the anime... I personally don't like one piece/naruto/bleach, but FMA imo is not bad.
Though there are better ones out there.

What's wrong with One Piece? Have you read or seen any of it to judge it? How much is enough to judge? You have not dedicated any time to it and yet you call it shit? It's a very good show/manga, I would even go far as to say it's the best shounen action out there. It can be quite powerful in delivering it's messages. There are numerous amounts of times where it has you crying. Even during fillers, One Piece is still fun to read/watch. FMA has nothing on One Piece. One Piece even appeals to the female audience in Japan.
anyone who can like fma doesn't have the right to be pretentious and pretend it's better than naruto and one piece.
one piece is still the best shonen manga, naruto is the popular stepchild but it's got its own merits. bleach is the one which deserves to be called a lazy, linear shonen. i swear, manga fans can get pathetic sometimes. don't judge a series by its popularity. technically or artistically, one piece is going to be one of the best comics out there, ranking with the classics.

The authors do not want things like that stuff to happen, but it does anyway. Great job to the mangakas that actualy made it as one.

Quite so, Nihei has such an interesting drawingstyle, I really like it. Though not too strange that its not a mainstream appeal.
I don't think Nihei released anything major this year, apart from Blame Gakuen! And So On (which sold out so fast I never got a copy).
花より男子 is actually pronounced Hana yori Dango, not unlike the proverb - unless this is an unrelated manga, in which case the large number of volumes released confuses me.

He was my first real favorite artist. And BLAME! is the manga I credit for helping me get into manga.
Its a shame to see Gintama or Yostuba so far down when a manga like one piece is first, oh well atleast nana is good (i think as ive only seen the anime version)

Kind of surprised to see Pluto so high up the list. Not that it doesn't deserve the spot, it just didn't seem like something that would be overly popular. With what happens to Astro Boy and all...
Though One Piece will always be my favorite manga, I am shocked to see the latest so high up. The story has become far to frantic and everything is kind of falling apart. Gintama and Yotsuba being so low is kind of sad, but, generic Shonen sale, off-beat manga really don't.
