hes not playing nearly as fast as the guitar, and finger dexterity wise the guitar player is at much higher skill level. The slow tempo is just takes a lot the "umph" away. I'm not saying the voilinist is not talented, and i believe is just one viloinist because most likely he just dropped a triad for most of the piece but the my point is from a dificulty stand point i believe the guitarist is more skilled.
I'd like to see how many violin players can play two notes at the same time for five or more notes consecutively without a major screw-up. I've been playing for 17 years and I manage to make it work about once every two times.
The guitar player is more skilled perhaps, but don't take away the violin player's accomplishments either.
I agree with thenightsshadow. The violinist is definitely skilled. Possibly even more so than the guitarist. The finger movements of the guitarist seem comparable to guitar hero. That's how fast they move on the intense levels. I think that with the violin, there are so many more components that it's not even a competition. You have to work the bow, and the fingers and he uses many different styles that it's amazing.
He's my hero hands down. I only wish I could play as well as him...and where is his sheet music?
