“Real” Konata and Kagami

Eh, it's... OK? Not very realistic or skillful at all. I've seen middle-level deviantARTists do better...

3D Konata is quite charming, but Kagamin should forever be 2D...

I don't know... the 'real' Konata looks older than the 'real' Kagami which really goes against Konata's 17-year-old gradeschooler gimick.

Of course, I can picture the 'real' Konata dominating the 'real' Kagami. :) :)

2D all the way. And personally I like Konata's initial design when Lucky Star manga was first starting. The long legged type before they where lolified.

3D Konata should look younger. I mean, she still gets child movie tickets after all :P

I suddenly fallen in-love more to Kona and Kagami in the 3D artwork but I'd still prefer the 2D =3

From some of these answers, I think the poll shoulda been, "Anime" vs "(Pseudo) Realistic". (No "neither" or "both" options though?)

But anyway...The realistic versions are pretty nice for the attempt and what they are. I do have a mild gripe with Kagami's version, as I think her ears are a tad bit overly rounded (as in, the upper half of her earlobe is a bit too circular.) It might be just an illusion because of how the hair is drawn around it though. There's something about the ear area that just nags at me...

I think the original (well, KyoAni, as the anime is probably more well known than the original manga by now) version will always be more popular just because, but it's refreshing to see a new spin on char designs at times if they don't stray too far from the original.

I didn't vote, as I like both renditions well enough. Of the realistic attempts, I think the Kagami one is the more believable transition though.

Konata seems a bit hard to imagine as a personality that really exists (at least for a female... ^_^ ).

3D Kagami kinda reminds me of Asuka with blue hair. But since she's also a tsundere I think it's a good fit. 3D Konata captures fairly well the feeling that her 2D counterpart gives-off so I salute the artist.

3D is much better. The 2D Kagami & Konata just look like aliens to me (Their eyes are bigger than their hands).

if they really looked like this then maybe Lucky Star would have actually been watchable

The “Real” Konata and Kagami (2 D version) has been drawn by Mr. Garun - a Thai cartoonist who is also a 2D CG master alogn an instructor of Computer Arts.

Please give a DUE Credit for him.
