In a shrewd advertising move, showcases for 大見武士 / Oomi Takeshi’s new ero-manga in a Toranoana store are including bottles of lotion, complete with an original cover illustration by the artist himself.
The new manga, Takeshi’s third, carries the full name of ろーまじ 我が征くはぬめりの大海 / “Roumaji – I will conquer the ocean of slime!” with the English subtitle “Lotion Play.”
The lotion promotion, a joint effort by Gekkan Young Comics and Nakajima Chemicals Co., was begun at the main Toranoana store in Osaka last week in preparation for the Dec. 11th release of the new Roumaji manga.
The original lotion is named “Pepe Lotion.”
The new manga is just released and stacks of it have been piled waist-high in stores such as Melonbooks, K-Books and Toranoana, although the bottles of lotion are not on sale at the Main Akihabara branch of Toranoana.
The manga itself appears to include scenes of lotion-play, although more “normal” forms of sex are also included.
