An enterprising soul has succeeded in making a number of highly popular visual novels/eroge work on the iPhone and iPod Touch, with such famous titles as Clannad, Air, Tsukihime, Higurashi, etc., all confirmed as working fully.
There is the prospect of more to follow, with games running on similar engines, such as Little Busters, likely to follow.
The process to getting them working looks to be quite involved, and differs for each title (and the instructions are in Japanese, strangely enough).

Heh. I tried my hand at trying to get Onscripter to work on the PSP, took awhile. I almost got to it, but the game would often crash and I decided to give up on it because of that. A pity I would have LOVED to play Tsukihime anywhere.
If I were to ever get an Iphone this would be my first plan.
i wonder how they ported it so quickly (well... it's been about one year since the first unofficial sdks cropped up). porting cocoa apps to cocoa touch isn't an easy task.
then again, the core of onscripter is written using sdl, and the first sdl port was around one month after the sdk or so. for scummvm, of course. :)
porting avg32 or kirikiri would be more trouble, i guess. the aforementioned games all use nscripter.
Tsukihime works just fine on PSP now, you should give it another go. I've got through it twice, and it has never crashed on me so far.
Does this require the iPhone to be jailbroken/warranty voided/etc in anyway?
Also, will the wiki be translated in anyway, or will the way of google translator work in it's place?
I really hope fan translation projects make patches that supplement these eroges for iPhones :)
