A gallery of objects curiously rendered into moe female characters. Rather purely exploring than the usual military or software themes, here we also see anthropomorphised food, coins, cigarettes and mobile phones, along with a great deal of other odd creations.
Eraser-tan and Derringer-tan struck me as rather amusing, along with Nvidia-tan…
Regarding OS-tan, it seems the disturbing affection these artists display towards Windows 95 is only matched by the lack of effective mascots for Linux distros; I think the distinctly unmoe Tux may be responsible for this…
Of course, the ultimate expression of this is through Strike Witches, actually mecha musume.
The...the mushroom!!! And and....the Wii-mote crashing into the t.v.!!! And that one with the girl on the plate with the chopsticks!! AAAAGGGHHH *explodes*
Eeee... I'm fairly new to this site but as soon as I read "Anthropomorphization Moe Gallery" you had me. I adore gijinka. I appreciate that the post kept the OS-tans low because, as much as I adore them, there's so much out there you don't hear about.
They were all cuuute, but I especially love that kitsune udon-tan. Clever, clever. xD
By the way, those of you asking for PS-tan, PS2-tan, PS3-tan, etc., you'll find various if you just google image it, some quite lovely. They've been around for a while, the former two, though I forgot to check around for PS3. *keeps up on this stuff as best she can > w>;;*
those "dead or alive games" cards are shops that somebody made of Allegro Mistic's original artwork. Not sure why somebody would want to increase the image sizes as that makes the girls fuzzier. The proportions are 4:3 so perhaps whoever shopped them tried to make wallpapers.
The actual names that AM gave the images are archaic names for shogi pieces:
ME-tan actually...
And whoever made that XP one ought to be shot! XP-tan FTW! And she's a better OS than Vista, she, together with her sister 2k-tan, has alot to teach her younger sibling!!!!!!
Especially liked the coins-tan from #21-#27.
¥50-tan (#24), ¥100-tan (#25) and the ¥500-tan twins (old and new) (#27) are really cute.
Took some time before figuring out that #28-#34 were shogi pieces:
#28 Gyoku-tan (King)
#29 Hisha-tan (Rook)*
#30 Kinsho-tan (Gold general)
#31 Ginsho-tan (Silver general)
#32 Keima-tan (Knight)*
#33 Kyosha-tan (Lance)
#34 Fuhyo-tan (Pawn)*
I wonder who the artist is for these shogi-tans. Those marked with * I find especially kawaii.
LOL at Drum-tan at #36.
Poor Wii-tan feeling sorry for smashing the TV screen in #47. ^^;;
I was expecting to see that ME-tan pic, but still not the one I'd put. I can't find it, but said pic shows ME-tan also disintegrating, not just the text.

I'm still waiting for Sankaku-tan...
Artefact~! 0_^
I love you so much Japan! You can make moe characters out of anything ^_____^
ME-tan, awww, I stayed with her for 5 years, until she disintegrated beyond repair.

Kinny Riddle,

34: Hohei
AM's site also features an eighth shogi-miko called Kakugyou.

I'm guessing Opera-tan doesn't count?

I am getting 403 forbidden errors www
For anyone curious: Oscar Wilde is the Tan of the Wikipedia parody, Uncyclopedia. Look up OS-Tan on that site and you'll see.
i'm confused by the currency-tans ...
ichigo-tan needed to have her pantsu down one leg while on the toilet. (#14) i think
That's Habanero-tan (one of my fave "-tans"). She's sitting on the toilet coz, as they say...
"It burns just as much going out as it is going in."
(referring to eating spicy food)
hmm? ..isn't that lolifox's moscot? ..instead of firefox...
the Sanyo W33SA pic has me sold, great use of the phone and still looking serius. And the Talby is just adorable!
Pic 52... Did they mispell that on purpose?
Why doesn't anyone make ipod or mac tans?
lol
the last one is windows 98?

last one made me DAWWWED
The girl with the cell-phone twintails (#69) wins my Internet.
Lol, these images are more cool than pornographic.
Many, many more moe anthropomorphisms of PokmeMon like the Teddiursa can be found at http://www4.atwiki.jp/hitec
P.S. Minoriko Aki is not a moe anthropomorphism of anything. She just smells tasty to the undead zombie miko.

Aww.. ME-tan...
The best one is still the eraser xD
no PS3 tan??
No fat chicks.
Ba-Zing.
ME-tan at the end was horridly depressing! Don't worry, ME-tan, I still use you!
Its true! I still use my old desktop with ME as the operating system.
That was just soo saddening, I almost cried when I read that.
I should mention though, I've been on xp as long as I can remember, didn't even use 98. Now I'm on 7.
Tenga-tan would just be incredibly awesome, we all know this to be true. Don't believe there's been one made, however :(
didn't know there was so many tans around adding to collection!
Waaa . .. so many mascots
I was expecting to see that ME-tan pic, but still not the one I'd put. I can't find it, but said pic shows ME-tan also disintegrating, not just the text.
too bad i never use windows Me before
Plugs along the spine, oh god.
These would make excellent marketing themes for the products themselves.
ME-tan... bawwwwwww
No one loves ME-tan. Everyone loves her older and younger sister's.
Like the forgotten middle child who's not good at anything.
I still have my Windows ME CD lying less than a meter away, I will take it out and caress it as ME-tan requested some time, don't worry ^^
The last pic....it made me crying... so sad....
Brilliant. I've tried creating -tans myself, and it is extremely difficult!
Wiimote-tan #1 is adorable! I like the idea of the nunchuck tail.
